If it was a third person shooter, putting such fancy items on character's face might look good (to some people). for example, uncharted series or skyrim (in 3rd person)
But the thing I don't get is for a FPS, all you see is one and a half hands and a stupid gun (which you don't even have to be accurate with). Does the stupid face masks really make a selling point for FPS? I don't get COD these days (actually since past 4 years or so)

Couldn't disagree more. I have been exclusively PC gamer for a decade and then switched to console gaming. Though PC gaming is good for certain genre, for overall gaming, PC sucks. Its not because of games, its primarily because of resource hungry OS which consumes most of the RAM and GPU power (windows vista onwards). The net result, you need to upgrade PC every year or the newer games start freezing, lagging.

GameStop doesn't need X1 to kill them. IMHO, GS is on an auto-destruct mode with waaay overpriced used titles, offering peanuts for selling used games/consoles to them, not-so-great customer service, and worst of all - a non-functional air-conditioning system. Am I the only one getting suffocated in their outlets, regardless which location I go?

1)All I am saying is if the price is around $300, I'd be happy. If not, I'd have to wait - for my own reasons.
2)Looking at current price of PS3, I wont be surprised if prices of PS4 / X720 come down a bit after initial hype. Its logic (and often requires brains)

Totally agree with all except Skyrim. Its truly epic. Halo should've been there
