There are far more important things than protecting money my friend! Hope you'd understand difference between cell phone, laptop, bank account "TRACKING" you and Kinect "WATCHING you (and your privates) and LISTENING to you. You may choose not to say/do things on laptop, cell phone etc. Do you have such choice with Kinect? Of course, you may say unplug it. But then, the conversation becomes, why do we need to pay $100 more for a thing to be unplugged?

I'd rather put that $60 towards 2year extended warranty by Sony on PS4 (includes accidental damage). Note: this extended warranty period starts AFTER the end of 1 year of regular warranty, thus making it total 3 years of protection from date of purchase.

For those who think this gimmick is Xobx exclusive, well, PS4 has voice commands too. My guess is that voice commands on PS4 is gonna suck as well. (no fanboyism here. just hatred for gimmicks like these)

OT - What will happen if someone connects, say 5 or 10 Xobx1s in series? Can it then reach 1080P?
my cell phone comes with free Skype. for premium features, I use free apps such as Ovoo or google+
same here. I have 2 friends on my PS3. 1 sold his PS3 (he doesn't play games anymore), another friend hates online games, hence has decided not to accept any friend requests - without any discrimination.
I sincerely wish they bring EPL / UEFA matches (live/recorded) to PS4 via some app, and when they do that, I hope they bring that to the USA too.
I'd kick my cable TV box out of house if that happens.
Same feelings here. IMO they are waiting for user base to be large enough to bring all DRM / Always online $hit back with a firmware update.
