is the day I stop being a gamer. A solo experience fueled by some type of story or motivation is the very foundation of games. If games become only mindless mp matches, gaming will be dead to me. As much as I love multiplayer from time to time, I very rarely buy games solely for the online modes.
I seriously doubt that the industry will stop making single player modes in the near future if ever. They're just too important.

but Sony has yet to get it right. Their games are selling well but not nearly as well as they could be. We'll see what Sony does to ensure awesome sales for Killzone. It deserves them.

I think that this article should make us realize that no matter what console we prefer, we are all gamers and should try to find common ground. If we try hard enough, one day we can break this terrible cycle of fanboyism.
