I don't get what you mean. If a game's multiplayer is broken and a patch fixes it, it is no longer broken. And after the first update I rarely had trouble finding games to play. And my roommates and I played a lot.
I personally loved the campaign, which definitely didn't seem rushed, and the multiplayer is addictive if not fair. When I go back to school for the Spring semester we'll probably start playing again. Here's hoping the patch does a lot of good.
They are constantly changing the multiplayer experience, often listening closely to the feedback from the community. You rarely see a game company that is so close to its fans.
It seems like a fresh new idea. Hopefully they'll do it right.

then they are moving on to new things. That's one of the reasons they split from MS: to make new IP's. MS will do what they will with the franchise, but it isn't quite Halo without Bungie. At least they have Frankie to help keep them in line. That MGS producer should add new flavor to the series as well. Whatever.
I'll worry about the future of the series some other time. Right now I'm excited about the new direction Bungie's taking in their final Halo game.

And I don't really see blu-ray being a huge advantage, as it isn't that special. I know it's my opinion. I never said it's fact.
Halo started advertising long before release. And it sold very, very well.
Sony should be marketing now in full force. I don't know if a Super Bowl ad would be wise, though, as it cost a LOT of money to score a slot during the game.
because everyone should experience it. At first glance it's just a generic run-and-gun zombie shooter on the "outdated" Source engine, but when you actually start playing with a friend or three it is extremely fun and addictive. The AI director always switches things up, so it never gets old.
A week or two ago my friends and I tried beating a couple of the campaigns on expert. They took 4-6 hours each. And I got mine for only $50 at Gamestop. So definitely worth ...
but I got it for the 360 simply because I have a bunch of friends who got it for the 360 and wanted to play coop. And honestly, the game is only fun when you play with others, be it coop or versus.
20 dollars! That's amazing! I already have the game and DLC, but I might just get this because of the value. Gotta love BioWare.

But those generalizations aren't very good. There are plenty of hardcore, casual, and non-gamers on every side. I'd actually say that true harcore gamers own at least the 360 and PS3. I initially didn't want a PS3 because there were no games I was interested in until MGS4, but according to you guys the 360 has no good games. My guess is that both sides have awesome games.
for one, the RROD wasn't really significantly noticed until over a year after the 360 came out. Besides that, I'd say the consoles are about equal quality-wise. I don't really think that the PS3's is worth its high price. I bought it anyway for MGS4. : )
but I think it's definitely better that it's multiplat this time around. A lot of xbox owners might have already played the original and might not be as excited about the game as PS3 owners.
but it was very annoying. The PSP was as well. I have a laptop now, so I can game and surf at the same time. I assume the PS3 browser is similar to the PSP's, just high-def. Now that YouTube has the high quality options now, though, I guess I can see why you'd want to watch videos on the PS3. Maybe I'll try it sometime.
As long as you have the patience to read all the codec entries. The universe is so huge and complex. I personally loved it, and the books are good as well.

I'm a big fan of the Halo universe. I've read all the books and play the games. Unfortunately the newest game is an RTS, which almost always suck on consoles. I might just get it for the story, assuming it doesn't butcher the canon. Of course, if reviews are low, I might just find a summary on youtube.
