Hmm, yeah I feel like they'll need more than this to get someone to buy.
Maybe see how Palworld does in sustaining itself and content, and how devs approach things going forward. Buying just cause of one big hit nowadays? Possible, but unlikely. Unless someone just wants to lock Palworld to one platform.
I mean, no one is surprised anymore.
Sony has just been leaving top quality IPs untouched for years. London could have easily been sent to work on Getaway or something. Sad state and I think more people are now going to be super cautious about entering this industry. Firing and hiring is normal, yes. But when you see 900 people just get axed that's wild, especially in London where costs are flying high and having a job doesn't equate to a good standard of living.
Its like they didnt see what happened to Avengers.
Tends to happen when you release an unfinished product with tons of problems.
Hopefully, this means they'll never do it again. But you never know with devs nowadays.
Should just add an extra confirmation window, that's all it takes.
What the fuck is moving the cursor? If you didn't know better, you'd think D4 is Blizzard first game.
Yeah, the artifact problem is what made a lot of people dip on Genshin.
Same thing will happen here I imagine.
Game should have been delayed.
It wasn't ready and instead, Respawn/EA were celebrating how soon they got it out the door.
Respawn still can't make a patch that doesn't brick Apex each season, so not sure why anyone has hope for this.
From what I saw on Shroud stream.. this is justified.
The AI is insanely shit, game looks bland and boring, buggy etc. I don't know how this got put out, the fact MS let them put this shit out is insane.
PC emulator?
It has a full on PC client and it's on Steam.
"Sometimes the step is just so refined that you can’t ignore it. And sometimes the leap is so big that it’ll change everything. So it’s just where you’re at, and what you need to do with the team and time and money that you have. That’s the trick of it. A lot of games fail because they try to take the leap when they should take the step."
Nothing else needs to be said.
Can be applied to so many things, but that's a pretty good way to put it...
I think he's taking the last bit of the tweet and applying it to GTA..
Which is odd because they dont have any influence on R*.
Welll... yeah.
Loot shoters depend on what the plans are after the game releases. Comparing it to games that have been out for years is wild and stupid. Compare it to the games in the release state, you'll see a lot of it is the same.
CD need to do something, especially after Marvel Avengers.
People tried to pin a majority of the failures of Marvel Avengers on SE, so.. let's see what they do under Embracer.
You can't compare Sony funding and making their own games to MS literally buying out 3rd parties and making MP titles, exclusive. Phil was singing a different song, but then he and MS realised the only thing they can do is throw money at it.
He's probably under instructions, but either way.. it's dirty. But if they allow that with no contesting, it signals that any future buyouts would just be "If MS were allowed to buy COD, we can do anything". Which...
What a dumb article.
He says they can go home (not being forced) and do everything the article is complaining about, but they've decided to make it seem like they know how he runs his studio.
Unless people come out saying "Not choosing to work the optional hours has had a negative impact on my work experience" etc, then sure.. MAYBE, you'd have some ammo. However, this is just reaching. He deleted it probably cause he realised how idiots...
BF in the past, could've come close.
But COD just nails the accessability and keeps the same formula more or less. So players never feel like they have to do something extremely different to enjoy the next one. You load up, jump in, play with friends easy. Yeah, other shooters out there..but COD has just been around too long and remained a talking point.
If done correctly, this is not a bad thing.
Most open worlds tend to be bland and just empty.
It's already back on Steam and yeah, of course. The other story sounded more intense and would bring in clicks for said sites. So they'd run it, even if the devs confirmed the real reason.
Sony has flaws, but has proven it will constantly deliver quality games throughout it's consoles lifespan.
State of Play is just a 30min showcase of a few things.
Sure, they shouldnt.
But some guns just feel like the devs didnt test them at all. Adjudicator sounds nice, looks nice.. but thats it. It doesn't do anything better than what we have in the base. The devs have been playing super safe with balancing since the railgun fiasco. Now everything comes out very weak (in terms of primary weapons) as to not have all the community jump on it and use it consistantly.
