How does allowing used games, have anything to do with piracy?
Lol, you think buying games new, all the time, equals more money for developers?
Oh dear.
Microsoft needs to adjust its stance asap. However, doesn't look at all likely.
Day one sales will indeed be an interesting discussion.
@Hercules.
Please stop with that nonsense of "if you're a true gamer" you buy this and that blah blah. No, you do not. You buy what provides value as a consumer, what doesn't infringe drastically on rights etc. Yes, One has a few good games, but the policies in place are more damaging than ever before. It's a step in the wrong direction.
How does paying for a 100kb code to unlock content which is on a disc = hard work? DLC should be cont...
I think they've proven how committed they are to indies, especially at E3. I don't think most of those indie devs thought they'd be on stage - at all.
Good move, its the right direction.
This could be either good, or really, really bad.
Only time will tell.
I'm sorry Dons comments come across as arrogance, not confidence (far from it).
They've not provided any real logical alternative, except those snappy remarks.
"A bit more". That's a bit of an understatement.
They still got schooled. How does Microsoft make the same error that Sony made the gen before? Honestly. It's like MS know individuals like yourself will buy it, regardless of how bad their policies are.
PS: Change your name.
Had it pre-ordered since Feb reveal. The price confirmation just sealed it.
Know what's bad about all this?
Microsoft know they'll still ship millions of Xbox Ones. They could say anything, it will still sell. It's disgraceful, but that's consumers for you.
What I thought when Jack announced PS Plus scheme for PS4, was that it would cover MMOs via Plus subs (for PS4). However, I guess I was wrong there.
So I'm not sure. Though I think you have to pay directly to SE.
For me, it was more of Sony's image. With the PS3 they made key errors, that costed them earlier in its cycle. The difficulty of development, the cost of the PS3 etc. They came out and clearly showed they listened, which is what gamers tuning in really wanted confirmation on.
If Sony hadn't answered that, it wouldn't be a good business move. Gamers wants games, and Sony deliver some of the best. Gamers also want value for money. Sony showed how they're offerin...
Well, One and PS4 are both similar in development styles. Them going multi isn't a shock. The only thing that is probably causing a buzz is the fact that they mentioned Versus as a PS3 exclusive, long ago. It seems they were waiting for next gen, early in its development.
KH has always been a Sony and Nin thing. However, if both consoles are close in development abilities..bringing the game to both isn't ridiculous. SE will always go for monetary gain, over anything e...
COD isn't looking like dying out any time soon. Next gen just helped it survive longer too. TitanFall won't impact that. It might reduce the numbers online come Spring 2014. However, Ghost launches Fall 2013. I doubt COD fans will skip it, in order to wait till Titan.
So will they do a R* and bring another exclusive to PS4, to make up for this? No way Sony will not expect an exclusive title after all this time.
Well, it's not surprising. A lot of people called it long ago. These delays kept building up to a multiplat announcement.
Though, kinda feels like it was a choice by SE to go exclusive, without any money. Same with MGS. Publishers are aiming for that money now, more than ever. Considering SE still set insane exp...
What Nomura works on is usually quality. I can't wait for what's coming.
After everything that came out of their conference, it was inevitable.
They deserved it. They showed they listened.
Learning from your past errors, competitors is vital. It's good to see they clearly listened on key aspects. Although, I'm sure questions will now be formed on the online gaming aspect.
Sony showed how to address key concerns. It can only work in their favour.
Sony have shown they learnt, and listened. Confirmed Used Game stance, and online.
Fantastic move on their behalf.
How is providing clarity on a big decision, "bonkers"?
I'm sure by now everyone appreciates the clear responses.
