Say what you want but Microsoft has done some good things for the industry as far as innovation goes. They've got some good games and I like how they incorporate features like quick resume into their console. It's hard to imagine not having that one on their next console.
"Exclusives are what made the industry into the juggernaut that it is today"
That's not exactly true. Exclusives are definitely an important part of the industry, however they still only represent a small fraction of it. 3rd party is still and most likely will remain
the backbone of it. We need both but I believe the industry would not be close to what it is now without the 3rd party publishers.
No matter how many articles you guys post, it doesn't change the fact that console sales are not as important as they used to be. Nintendo probably benefits much more than the others. Even though sony sells more consoles they're still laying people off and closing studios like Microsoft, which is unfortunate. What people tend to forget is the cost of making AAA games is making console sales a bit inconsequential , but not to the point of being ignored just yet. The gaming industry ...
Would love another gears. That series is definitely one of the best in the genre.
Even though you can do some shooting in those two, Uncharted and the last of us are not considered shooters. Definitely 2 of the best 3rd person action adventure games for sure though.
Not even close.
You cant just blame Jim Ryan for the inevitable. Layoffs happen in all industries. There is no way that Sony is gonna sustain their gaming business with mostly single player games regardless of who is in charge. The rising costs of some AAA games are becoming astronomical and there's no way the industry can survive. The difference between Microsoft and Sony is that Microsoft is just putting it out there and being up front. Sony is going a similar route but not as open. The PC is only the...
I dont know why people are acting so surprised. When Microsoft recently laid off workers from their gaming division, so many people here were acting like Sony is immune to layoffs. I said this is gonna be happening to them as well. For years now I've been saying gaming can't sustain itself without laying off people. So the next time a SP game sells 4 million copies just remember a sequel will have to sell 10 to 15 million because of the rising cost of making a game.
Sony said similar things when their Walkman was beaten by Apple and when Samsung surpassed them in the TV market. I can go on and on but I'm sure you get the picture. Business is business. All companies take a whippen every now and and then. The difference is how you bounce back. Microsoft net worth has grown over the years. Business wise they are very successful and no matter what, sony would love to be where they are financially. Sony isn't the competition microsoft worries about....
Sounds like you are in your feelings. Get used to it because this is where the industry is headed for Microsoft as well as sony. This is only the beginning. In the near future you won't need a ps to play sony games or a xbox for Microsoft games. It's a good thing imo because hardware sales don't make up for all the money lost on them.
That's false. He didn't say that. I've noticed that you like to input your own version of a made up fact. Sony has already brought games to PC so it makes no sense for them to announce it. They will be putting more games than MLB The Show on xbox in the future. They'll be doing similar things that Microsoft are doing. The only difference is that Microsoft is telling us now. Sony is doing to slowly spill it...lol
"Why compare this game to a 6 month old RPG like Starfield and not an action game like COD?"
It's probably because it's a bunch of BS. They don't provide any proof to back it up. It's obviously pro sony people writing this stuff. It sad and not based on fact.
If we go by your logic sony should of left the TV business years ago because Samsung is destroying them.
Gamers say the craziest stuff. Why would Microsoft or any console maker discuss new hardware right now. Sometimes I think people here forget that Phil Spencer is in charge of xbox, and not Microsoft.
Lol... Man you console fanboys are just ignorant. Phil Spencer is not in charge of Microsoft. These companies are always going to do what they want. That's the way its always been.
Excellent news for Microsoft and Xbox fans everywhere.
Sony's The Last Guardian was delayed an entire generation.
This is good news. Always good not to have to lay off so many people.
That doesn't make sense.
The fact that you used the phrase
" walking sim" to describe a game you haven't played then denied playing another one is funny. Perhaps the next time don't use
"probably"...lol
