So Nintendo released it's console and didn't show there next gen games.
Sony showed next gen games but didn't show there console.
Microsoft won't show there console or next gen games.

If nintendo is performing as bad as you say or think then why are there no annuncements of layoffs?
The fact is activision just announced 30 layoffs but don't they publish cod?
The fact is nintendo says they can make a profit off of one game for each system. Plus they knew xbox and the new ps4 would launce within a year its why games have been held back.
The point is publishers and developers rushed there games out instead of taking extra time to make there games look and run better. If you are planning on reselling your games and at full price might I add why not put time and effort into it.
Super Mario U isn't running at 1080 and it still looks good.
People forget the development cost associated with high end graphics.
