Maybe you just don't like open world games with crafting, I never had to farm for anything unless I wanted to upgrade a specific item like the satchel bags that allowed you to carry more stuff. I never ran out of arrows because my satchel bags where one of the first things I upgraded. It seems to me you where more annoyed because of how you played the game more so than the game forcing you to farm for resources because they where everywhere so why would you need to farm?

Yes they are losing the console war, you know what else they aren't gaining the lost market share either and it's because they aren't giving gamers what they want games.
