PS3 and Slim don't have HDMI cables in the package either, or even component, so I guess MS is thinking they can cut costs a bit since it hasn't hurt Sony to be lacking the cables in the package.
Stories and new ways of playing games.
I'm sure next generation will be about the feasible peak of graphics before any additional details will be too small to notice, so experimentation with new story structures or player involvement should be a priority.
Run to your cinema. Right now. DO IT.
Only movie I've seen where the entire (packed) cinema was deathly silent except for moments of "oh my god......".
It really sucks you in that much.
Like what Silent Hill / Condemned / Doom / Dead Space / FEAR style game doesn't have one now?
Might be scarier for there to be NO hospital now!
A good way to start clearing out cards to make way for the new DirectX 11 generation, however from what I've read there's still at least 6 months until Nvidia will be launching the GT300?
However, I kind of get annoyed at this Nvidia / ATi sponsored games stuff. Nvidia pays for PhyX stuff in Batman, even going as far to PREVENT anti-aliasing on ATi cards running the game. ATi pays for DX10.1 in Hawx, so Nvidia cards don't performa as well. Nvidia requests that DirectX10.1 be remo...
Got my dad a 360 and steering wheel for christmas (came with forza 2 and pgr 4), and since playing them he really wants an Audi lol.
Clearly real life has inferior textures to Forza 3. =P
But in all seriousness, HELL YEAH V8 Supercars!
Now I've got a queue of XBLA and PSN games waiting for me to buy and play...
Currently stands at:
1) Shadow Complex
2) Fat Princess
3) Splosion Man
4) Trials HD
They use DRM BECAUSE you bittorrent 95% of your games, as you said.
No-one who pirates games has any right to complain about DRM since it's put in place because of them.
Stop pirating games and the DRM will stop - look at Ubisoft's Prince of Persia thing. They gave having no DRM a chance to see if everyone saying they only pirate games because of DRM is true. It was pirated just as much, showing most of the people saying it are simply hypocrites with angry-mob syndro...
Because pirating games will really make them want to stop using DRM.
Why do so many people do such stupid things? It's like going on a shooting spree because you don't like how many cops are around.
Smart.
Games that are so hard they make me want to break the disc in half (Ninja Gaiden springs to mind), or games that are so boring and devoid of immersion they make me hate myself for buying it (Terminator Salvation anyone?)
Exactly right. People are only aware of the stereotype BECAUSE they aren't aware when a masculine guy is gay unless they specifically ask.
You could walk past 1 flamboyant gay guy on the street and 4 more masculine / 'straight-acting' gay guys and you wouldn't know.
Just think about it - if approximately 1 in 11 people are gay, are 1 in 11 people you see on the street flamboyant girly-guys? Not a chance. So people assume all gay people are feminine because that's all...
Maybe they need to stock lots of 360s because of high demand?...
=P
If the game's worth it, I'll pay the price - it's easy enough to find places that sell games cheaper than RRP on release anyway.
Used by developers when testing game builds - it's hooked into the usual compiler box that usually hooked into a PC or server.
That way incomplete game builds can be tested by compiling them which is then streamed onto the PS3 to check real-world performance on exact PS3 hardware. Regular PS3s can't load custom builds and content (due to the security to stop piracy and loading unauthorized code of course), so they need special ones such as this (notice the additional ethernet por...
I remember Sony advertised GT5 Prologue on their website with Forza 2 screenshots.
There are always slip ups - after all, a lot of advertising is out-sourced to dedicated marketing firms who really don't care that much about the product.
I'm guessing it might have been EA's accident - after all, MS would have been getting the assets such as the manual images from EA and all the other publishers of the Games on Demand titles.
I don't think it's a debate anyone - now it's just people being stubborn. I was lucky enough to attend the Australasian Conference on Interactive Entertainment 2008, where one of the keynotes was from a man who had lead the largest independent survey on gaming in Australia with approximately 10,000 households taking part.
EVERY person in that house was questioned on a variety of gaming industry related topic, including whether they were aware that there was NOT an R18+ rating ava...
It's still the issue of 'protect the children', as TV shows such as Current Affairs and Today Tonight still run stories of 'o noes, 8 year old child shows increased aggression after playing GTA' and blames it on the developer, not the idiotic parents who buy the MA 15+ games for their kids.
So then, the ignorant people in high places who don't play games then think 'imagine what games with even MORE violence / explicit content could do to these kids?!' instead of the correct trai...
The screenshots in the article are just for people who haven't seen / played the game before.
The author has obviously played the games from the way he talks about them.
Much better than trying to get rid of bad games no-one wants that are just sitting in storage, they're giving away a game that the majority of people buying a 360 will really want.
Good move!
