No matter how funny that would be, I think the blog is joking. And since when did a blog with only 2 posts become a credible source?
"And although Max Payne 3 looks completely different in every possible way to its predecessors, it still keeps the things that made the previous games so damn addictive, like the epic dives and rolls and awesome bullet time mechanics that made the whole Max
Payne franchise the success that it is."
While I loved the bullet time and dives / rolls, the story and the feel of the games made me love them.
There are PS3 games that let you mute people. I mute people in UC2 all half the time, either if they're friends having a conversation I don't care about or some little kid being annoying.
I'm getting WKC myself, should be fun. Hell, you can build your own town in that game. I'll be waiting on FFXII.
p.s. Part of the time I don't feel like using a mic when the rest of my group is speaking a language I do not understand, so I just resort to waypoints and FRAGOs.
Headsets to have a leadership position is a good idea, but making it required to play at all might kill sales and the community. Sure headsets are cheap (i have the ps3 bluetooth headset), but some people are just lazy and don't want to use them. As long as they can hear orders from other people and they're not in charge of leading squads, platoons, or the whole army, mics shouldn't be a requirement. Sides, who wants to hear the little kids talking that can't afford a mic?
The game has been out for a while, its just being translated / ported for the European / American markets, a long with a few upgrades and the dlc being added in.
Not many smart reviewers actually taking time with this game to review instead of rushing BS reviews to get hits on their sites.
Most of the critics speaking are ones that played either beta or a few hours of the retail version. There's a difference in gameplay when you level up and unlock new skills / weapons, and you're able to command a squad, platoon, or being commander of the whole army. Or playing as the 3 different factions (loving S.V.E.R). I've only seen a few smart writers actually stating how problematic it is to review what will take a while to fully experience.
You want it to feel like a large scale war, open the map up on domination and zoom out. It'll make you go "holy sh!t". Commanding that is even better.
I haven't seen S.V.E.R. be overpopulated. I know raven is a bit under populated, but valor has a bunch of people as well. Its just that the S.V.E.R. is winning. Also, I never got the gamestop preoder, I went for the hockey masks :P. A few levels till 40 so I can use them for the light and medium armor. Also, if you want to boost stats, easiest way is for people to actually get a med kit and revive / heal their teammates. I do it all the time inbetween kills and get a nice chunk of xp fr...
I've been playing it half the day, just hit 20 with S.V.E.R. (love the bloody hockey mask with the heavy armor). Squad / platoon leader is fun as hell with a good group of friends. Having 0 lag is nice as well.
Anything with the name "Halo" in it will sell. They can take a game that was meant to be an expansion, raise the price to 60 and call it a full game, and people will still buy it. It'll receive 10s even if its not the most innovative game or has the best graphics, because reviewers are pressured or influenced into giving those scores.
Sad that simple division is hard for some people... Surprised they left out GoW III off the list.
I liked the http://www.youtube.com/watc... trailer for KZ2 better. Though I find the Infamous trailer to be perfect at 2.
Its good and bad. If they just cut things from the game that are already on the disk / charge for stupid sh!t that should be free, of course its bad. But if they add new things to the game after they've finished with the game already / its gone gold and waiting to ship and don't charge an arm and a leg for it, its good in my opinion.
Beautiful song, wish we could get it on the NA / Euro versions as well.
The 2 versions are suppose to be one for Japan on the ps3 with a brother / sister relationship (I believe) and a less bulky main character, and one for the rest of the world made for western audiences with a father / daughter relationship and a bulky main character for the ps3 and 360. So this is the later.
Batman AA should get it, though Borderlands (still a few bugs they need to fix) would come in 2nd.
Starting the game off facing someone with high end unlockables who's just starting off as well isn't always the funnest.
