Hopefully they learned from this a before they started making the Switch Lites. Can't replace the ones attached to a $200 system as easily as the $80 ones for the regular switch.
Not intended for any time soon. A big in the code the put out recently did that. It wasn't intended to mess with people to make them think it was going to be soon.

It was literally confirmed to be a bug, according to the devs twitter account. They accidentally released stuff earlier with an update for something that will probably be out within the next month or so (not definitely release date at the moment and still on PTS - has to pass certification most likely before release).
So EA won't be making any more Star Wars games after the next one?
Well, free to play, but the new content you have to buy to play or subscribe, beyond the holiday/seasonal stuff. Its decent, but unless you're paying money you won't be able to do any high level stuff.
US had a nicer (on the stomach) version where you only had to spend $20 to get it on games, which just so happened to include 2 month game time codes. One of the things you have to eat for this is a disgusting mushroom veggie burger... Some pics they had on reddit the other day were hilarious. And as for the code, in most cases you only get it if you finish it all in one sitting. Someone mentioned they went for a bathroom break only to come back to a brand new meal...

You could prefer them drop it to $100 so more people can play great games, but they have to make money. They sell consoles at loss at the start of every gen before costs get reduced. But expecting them to cut the cost by a 1/3 isn't gonna happen any time soon. Probably to $250 after PS5 launches, and costs are cut even more as old tech gets cheaper.
No sitting around a 4k TV playing multiplayer games with friends. No streaming Netflix, Amazon, or hulu from your system to the TV (or at all in some cases). Two different things: one is a console and the other a handheld.
Non-gamer soccer mom's and dad's (or grandparents) will be the ones getting it, and the kids are gonna be disappointed when they can't play smash or such with a friend on TV.
Combat and flying is fun. End game is crap and the nickle and dime on customization is a b****. They showed off tons of stuff before release, only to lock it all behind a rotating crap store and a grind (now it is, release was a bit better) for coins to get stuff. 61k for a wrap and you can't make that much in more than a month or so now...
The reason people have quit? Lack of end game and sh!t customization. It's a looter shooter without the loot currently. ...

People (the non gamer mom's and dad's or grandparents) thought WiiU was an addon at first because of the similar name. They'll now think this is the same as switch, without researching and finding out it it has less features.
Yah... Free-to-play half the time tends to tred the line of pay-to-win. Hopefully they dont nickle and dime people left and right. Want to run more dungeons? Buy more tokens. Want to move faster than a snail? Buy these mounts. Hopefully it doesn't become pay-to-win.
On reddit earlier, someone post the metacritic of FFXIV ARR and its expansions, with the score just going up with each one and Shadowbringers at like 91 so far. They bombed at the beginning (original release), but they admitted fault and worked to fix it, and have done amazing so far. Story in Shadowbringers is damn good.
As for working with blizzard, not likely. Though that doesn't stop crossovers like Monster Hunter, FFXV, or such.
Bioware's pre release footage of Anthem was nothing like the release. During E3, they showed that you could solo stuff and have friends drop in and out at any time. That you could be go to dungeons from the world map and during one you could find an event going on like an Ancient Titan out in the open world. They also showed a ton of customization materials and different armors, only to lock them behind the store with a trickle over time (the sugarcoating part).
Telling the truth and admitting fault it was saved FFXIV. It's now released it's third expansion and has millions of players around the world. They realized what was first released was crap and apologized to the players, and then spent their time fixing it before finally releasing A Realm Reborn. They didn't ghost players or hide, they admitted fault and the game has thrived since.
But Lite uses analog sticks like the joycons, which are having the drift problems...
