'beating' the compitition doesnt win you anything, being profitable does. If it was soooo important to outsell the competition, why is the 360 doing so well this gen? Sony 'won' last gen right? Because it doesnt matter to anyone but fans of 'console wars'. Sure its allways the goal to outsell the competition, but if 'winning' means loosing money, it doesnt help your (keyword here kids) BUSINESS.

It sounds like Sony intentionally is leaving it up to developers to decide if they want custom soundtracks available during the playing of their game. It's just a different viewpoint. The game experience is in the hands of the developer, if they feel custom sountracks deter from the game experience (for whatever reason) it allows them to decide to use it or not.
I would say rather than strictly a developer's call, it has to do with wether said game uses locked game saves or not. If they do, they may be allowed to retroactivly incorporate trophies.
Considering they said the in game XMB is the same, it's not suprising to see that there. I would bet money that if you click 'start a chat' it will give you the same 'this will end your current game' message. It's also been mentioned on the neogaf forum by people who gave us (now prooven correct) information that chat was not going to be a part of this update.
One line in that article is disturbing to me:

I dont disagree with your points, however why would Epic care if people are buying 360's to play GOW2 instead of just buying it on the pc?

Interesting but not for me. I (as a wii & ps3 owner) for one am ready for motion control to fade away. I allways disable motion control when i am able to do so, the only time i find it remotly fun is minigames in a group setting, but that is a very very minimal part of gaming for me. I'm fine with the technology being their, but not with it being forced on us like it was on the ps3 when it first game out
because it doesnt work that way, firmware is independent of it's previous versions. you could install any version firmware update from any older version, you dont need to 'step' updates. I would say the likley cause is that the 'improved system stability' would have been part of 2.40 but something pushed 2.40 further out, so they updated this part now.
I like RTS games, looks good, If it ever comes out on the PC i'll pick it up.
Not a single one of the items listed is a cheat. Why is it that over the last couple years, game websites consider unlockables cheats? They arent. Interesting list otherwise.
