Damn, there is just pure hate from some of these people. It get's almost perfect scores and they will still say it sucks. Then they will turn around and say only the 360 has FPS games, there is no winning..

Look at the big picture man.. It starts on the 360 with MS building partnerships and then it moves to the PC side. Never in my comments did I say this was going to happen overnight.. Just that is where MS's major focus is vs HD-DVD and Blu-ray.

As dillusional as your comment is.. the delivery is good. It is true that Sony has some serious movie clout.. But if Sony is smart they would put their movies on the #1 movie download service which is Microsofts Video Marketplace.
In talking about it at board meetings and actually bringing it to life and making it successful, which MS has done. It's actually the #1 Movie download service out of them all.
I did do a google search for a Sony movie service and I can't find anything before Dec 2006 which is behind what MS was doing.. But I believe you and thus fall back to my comment above.
I think you need to check your numbers again. The only place the 360 is getting beat is in Japan which isn't a big surprise.
On Topic: I love the spin MS put on this extended warranty. They should of had a working console out of the gate. But it's good they have finally started owning up to it, just 9 months too late. However, it doesn't seem to be effecting sales a whole lot. This is probably the slowest gaming time of the year in the USA and they sold over 200,000 consol...
I know better than SCEA does about their sales numbers. I'm just saying let's wait until the facts are out on the table which they obviously aren't yet. The timing on this annoucement is suspect to me. In regards to the NPD numbers, they were released and posted and are fact vs. a company saying we sold XXXX.
I really hope they are true. I'd like to see a price cut so if the cut did boost sales then it might become more permanent and then the 360 will follow suite.
I didn't realize that HD-DVD was starting to pull studio support. And to think people were calling it dead just a month ago. I see 300 is coming out on HD-DVD next week that should be an excellent purchase. I don't know if it's coming on Blu-ray as well?
So we are now adding up all of Sony's game devices and putting it against the 360.

Deserves the recognition. It is a truly forward thinking game and if it takes off like the dev's have envisioned it's going to spawn it's own genre.
It's like the gamers making the game and then playing it and sharing it. The closest thing I can relate to it is the MOD community but it's going to make it easy for anyone to be a designer.
Needs to be replaced. Shane Kim has been garbage for MGS. That's the reason MS can't seem to get any true first party games other than Halo. They have to rely on BioWare, etc. What did MS do? Shadowrun a 7.0 game all the way around and many thought was garbage. This guy even admits that "I don't play many games".
If they want to compete with Sony in first party they need a new strategy and a new leader.
This sounds to me like Sony PR damage control because they got a look at the official NPD numbers for June.

I've said all along that MS could give a crap about HD-DVD vs Blu-ray. Sure it would be great if they won the format war, but MS has been about VOD since 6 months after the 360 launched. Europe and Canada will be on board next month and then the rest of the world to follow. MS only chose HD-DVD because it was the superior format at the time the 360 launched.
