it will play divx/xvid from USB. But it does not play it via Media Center and that makes it a total bust for me.. very lame indeed.. But of course it plays on the new MS Home Server software. Basically, if you have MCE or Vista Ultimate and use it as Windows Media Server(not using WMP11 or Zune for media sharing) you are screwed.. I can never get enough of watching that video. You would really have to be blind to not see how amazing the visuals are in this game. The particle effects, HDR lighting and character models. I lean tword the 360 in my console preference but I gotta say this game is going to rival anything the 360 has on it and this footage is what sold me on getting a PS3.
My #1 most wanted game and it can't come soon enough! I just hope the AI and gameplay match the visuals.

There are plenty of FREE themes you can download for your dashboard but yes there are a ton more PAY themes. I absolutely agree that paying for themes is complete garbage and this instantly gives Sony the win on this one.
However, you can set a custom background which is essentially what Sony is offering for free. The custom icons/font sizes are cool but when you compare the 360 dashboard to the PS3 XMB it is 2 completely different beasts.

That whole piracy arguement is a load of crap. I converted all my DVD's to Divx because the quality vs file size is excellent and it also supports 5.1.

This right here makes this dashboard update golden for me!! The community has been asking for this since day 1 and it's taken awhile but I'm sure glad MS responded.
Also, Sony announced DiVX support but did not annouce XViD. I notice that my PS3 will see DiVX files now after the last FW update(says Unsupported Data) but still doesn't even see XViD.

I love this game and I think it deserves a good score but as 8.1 said it isn't the best looking game ever and I do find the pop-ups annoying (I got used to it in Mass Effect) but nothing that ruins the gameplay. It has actually got me to dust off the PS3 and play it since RFOM.
Lots of people say Gamerscore is worthless beyond bragging rights but things like this prove that wrong. Hopefully the prizes are better than the first round however.
