A 7 is an insult to this game. I believe it deserves the 9's it has received. It's funny because Oblivion had a lot of the same issues this game did but everyone put it on a pedestal and praised it.
owning both platforms is the ultimate experience.
For someone who doesn't own a 360 you should be the last person comparing online content of both services.. Right now the 360 has so much content that it literally blows PSN out of the water x100. They have all the partners line-up and locked in even BR exclusive companies like Disney.

Maybe in the past Japan was the center of game developement, but now developers are all over the world and if look at the sales numbers in Japan they are dwarfed by NA, EU and UK sales. Japan is no longer the center of the gaming universe.
but yes it is going on the same comments.. but still shhhhhhh we need to repeat the same story over and over again so it looks like the world press is suddenly behind the PS3. Even though the Wii has already outsold it again in Japan so the spike is gone.

I will say, twice the capacity is nice if studios take advantage of it. But if these are the winning reasons for Blu-ray then I am less than impressed. I would of focused more in on the studio support BR has.
Btw - the only HD player I have is a Blu-ray on my PS3 but I'm not buying movies sorry.

Yes, Premium does have Media Center as well.. But since I don't own a Premium version of Vista I am only speaking about what I know. But yes, thanks for the correction.
Transcoding is poor. It works OK but there are many known bugs and you are getting a reduced quality image. Things like skipping are prevelent with all these transcoding solutions. Even the authors of Transcode360 say the skipping you see cannot be fixed without the help of MCE dev team. I've been transcoding for a long time myself and I am sick of all its problems. I've tried Orb/TVersity as well and neither are %100.
Fully Destructable environments and more enemies/chaos on screen at once. I would love to see the intensity of a Call of Duty in a Gears of War game.

PS: You also forgot GRAW, Call of Duty 2, Kameo, Condemned and Lost Planet. Yes, a couple of those were on PC but we are talking about consoles here.
The graphics weren't bad and the first half of the game is excellent.. Shoot-outs in the streets, robbing bank, busting into a prison, etc. BUT (and thats a big but) the game got lame after going into the jungle.. It felt like any other war 3rd person shooter and the ending get's my vote as one of the worst endings ever.

Windows Vista Ultimate has a completely seperate Media Center built into it. I really don't know how to explain to you all the extra added functionality you get when using Media Center but let me just say this is a big deal for those of us who use Vista Ultimate and it's Media Center.
How do you come to the conclusion that Media Center is old news?? Vista Ultimate came out less than 2 years ago.
You can still play DiVX/XViD via the 360 dashboard off your media shares by going to the media blade and then opening video and selecting PC. All you need to do is have Windows Media Player 11 or the Zune software installed on your PC and configured for media sharing.
The only people getting screwed here are the ones that prefer to use Windows Media Center. This is done by going to the media blade and selecing Windows Media Server. You need to have an Media Center Edition OS...

I believe just a few weeks ago when the Sony tard Shane B. from 1up went on about a particular high profile game being cancelled for the 360. The Alan Wake dev's were quick to say "it is not our game!".
