I'm not sure but wasn't it announced a while back that Hololens is either considerably delayed or shelved?
This profitable pricing of the PSVR is good because of possible price drops in the future and fair software/game prices. Nobody should care about Sony's bottomline except for Sony and investors.
Caring about the welfare of a company before your own advantages as a consumer will only lead to unfair business practices and monopoly. Be smart with your money now and you'll have more money in the future.
Although I won't be buying PSVR anytime soon, this is good news.
Selling the PSVR at a profit will ensure that there will be a price drop in the future, plus software or games won't be too expensive as they won't have to compensate for lost revenue on hardware.
It's funny 'cause you're right. To play with other people over the internet, there must be a centralized system, a.k.a. a server.
Microsoft's reason for why Xbox live existed is that they wanted an exclusive server for xbox owners that guarantees a stable connection and long life span or support for online play instead of a publisher or developer server.
If they open their multiplayer to other platforms, that means that other platforms will ha...
With certain games, like first or even third person shooters, keyboard and mouse users are simply faster and more accurate. If Xbox opens their multiplayer to these kind of games, nobody with an Xbone is going to be happy.
And although Sony and Microsoft working together on multiplayer is good for everyone, there's a very good reason why Sony won't do it. One of the best reasons to buy a PS4 or an Xbone is based on which console your friends use. But if you can play w...
He's saying gamers can't cheat on consoles. Atleast not without being able to hack the console itself.
@Takwin
So you're 100% sure a game will be amazing before you even get to read reviews, or see the final gameplay?
I get that you're interested in those games that you want to buy them early. But you do not know they're 100% good before you buy them. You're taking a risk, but you're okay with that because you trust those devs. And I suppose that's the only good reason to preorder. And that once these devs break your trust, you should stop preor...

I'm seriously amazed you think you're being mature and thekhurg being immature when it's the other way around.
The key word from what thekhurg said is "yet." It implies that since we don't know anything that would tell us that the game is worth $60, it's best to wait and see.
It is important whether the developers have a history of making good games because that is how people judge products, by summing up the p...
It's funny how a guy that says it's not worth the money "yet" is getting bashed for being smart about their expectations.
At this point no one knows exactly how fun the game will be. Everyone knows how it looks like, how it basically works, but the big question is how is it as a whole package. We've yet to find out.
Don't be fanboys, be smart.
Your comment hinges on the assumption that devs "have" to show gameplay even though it's too early on the development. The fact is, they don't need to do that.
There are plenty of ways to build hype about a game by simply using mystery and piquing curiousity. An example is Fallout 4. The game was practically finished by the time advertising began, they used real game footage and sold really well.
Everyone knows about this bullshotting phenom...
@Free_Fro
I don't think you understand the issue very well.
It's the devs that create the high expectations. Devs like Ubi release "game trailers" or early builds showcasing how good looking their game is. Then the final version ends up looking very different.
People won't have high expectations if you show what's real by waiting until you have at least a beta build before marketing the game's graphics. Just look...
At this point everyone should know that early builds showcasing awesome graphics will almost always go through downgrades.
This is one of the reasons why preordering should not be condoned. The reason why developers bullshot (make game graphics look more awesome than it will be) is because it works, people buy their games even though they know it's not finished.
I get why people say they preorder because it's convenient, because they can preload their...
Although I don't really think the PS4 can run the game @ 60 fps without graphical hits, @kraenk is right. You can't compare the two simply because console versions are always more efficient in using hardware.
And I think you're using a mobile/laptop GPU. I don't know any specifics about it but I think the PS4 is equivalent if not more powerful than your laptop when efficiency is factored in.
Don't you mean the other way around? Or did you say that because of Xbone's game sharing policy?
For PS4 you can use your friend's disc anytime as much as you want. You can also still share a digital game, but you will have to re-share the game I think every 30 mins or hour.
I get why a lot of people find digital convenient. I also understand why Sony and Microsoft prefer digital; because they don't rely on 3rd party retailers, giving them mor...
What they need to do is spend time developing a new engine and make a new Elder Scrolls game.
A huge part of playing open world games for me is how beautiful the world is. I haven't played Fallout 4 and that's because it does look last gen and a wasteland simply isn't pretty.
I know it's just my opinion, people seem to enjoy wastelands and that's fine. But I really wish they would just make the next TES or maybe even a new IP.
The article's title is a clickbait. I read the article and Fable's cancellation was not mentioned. It probably will be cancelled, but one should not add things to the title that was not mentioned. The original title in the website does not mention anything about a cancellation either.
TL;DR
Whoever posted this article here jumped the gun when they said Fable Legends is cancelled. We don't know yet for sure.
@Cobra951
Read the top part of my comment again. The world has an average speed of 5 mbps. 15 to 20 mbps is not common for a household speed, if not in your country, it is in other countries.
One thing I've noticed with developers is how short sighted they are about the average internet speed globally when they talk about their immediate plans for the future. It's like they think the US and Europe are their only market.
http://venturebeat.com/2015...
According to the link above, the average internet speed is 5 mbps globally, that's dated June 2015. Only 5% of the world's population actually had speeds higher than 25 mbps.
I don't doubt that digital is a viable option but the fact is internet speeds a...
@Sourtree
Then you should've cleared that up earlier. Replying no to a no translates to a yes.
@nitus10
You don't have to be poor to be unwilling to spend $400 plus accessories to buy an unnecessary accessory. The ps4 gives the same amount of fun as the PSVR. The only thing going for the PSVR that the Ps4 can't give is novelty, which will deteriorate as you get used to the technology.
