I always change the lead characters name to Kratos because of my obviously love for anything GOW. However, my Mass Effect character does have my first name and even looks like me :)
I never cared about minor resolution differences, but then again, I'm not the fanboy you were obviously referring to :)
I love all my consoles. But with that said, I will still be buying RDR for my PS3 because of the extra content and mainly because I dont do LIVE.
Dont sit close to the TV and you wont notice little 'jaggies' :)
Why argue over a few pixels when the games look great anyway? Doesnt that prove that pixel-counting doesnt matter at all?
A bunch of games, many really, are sub-HD and still look great. I'm from the Atari 2600 era so there's really no bickering over pixels from my end. The game looks great on both consoles. Get the one that makes you happy, if you have a choice. Me, I'm going for the extra content on the PS3.

...just not when it first comes out. I'll probably wait a couple of months. I already got too many games that I haven't finished playing yet. Besides, I want to wait to see which version has the less buggy issues. I'm leaning towards the PS3 version because of the free multiplayer (I refuse to pay for LIVE). I'm also waiting for Lens of Truth to do a head2head comparison.

Are you being sarcastic because I couldn't tell :) MS is the king of hype (Halo, Gears of War, etc.) Hell, everytime they come out with an exclusive AAA title they roll out the hype machine. And you dont think they would be hyping this up? Maybe they dont think it's ready or they want to change the look of it but if ...
Sony did not market the slim with the OtherOS feature or even make it available on that console version. If they're going to try to do it, then they need to specify only the 'fat' consoles.

The fact is that I refuse to PAY to play with other people when I can do it for FREE on the PSN. FYI, I have never had any problems connecting to PSN to play online. I have an excellent connection :)
The only time I cant connect is when the entire network is down for maintenance or some system-wide problem which LIVE also has periodically.
