Some of the characters are the same also. Still looking forward to the concluding storyline.
Reminds me of the Metal Gear series now. Still looking forward to playing it though as I like Metal Gear :)
Ahhhhh. I see...and understand now :)
Yes. It's been 'remastered' to HD.
It's simple capitalism and market demand at work here. The reason games come out at $50-$60 is because enough people buy them at those initial prices to justify it to the publishers and retailers. Once the demand starts to drop, we start seeing the prices drop little by little until eventually you can find a brand new copy of the game for $19.99 on Amazon or somewhere.
We consumers have the power to move the market so we have no one to blame but ourselves for high pri...
They may not 'just' be worried about sales. They may also be worried about quality as suggested in this quote from an anonymous representative of a publisher:
"Microsoft is suggesting that anything but parity will result in them not carrying a title. They may think this is competitive, but it's not. They are killing any creative exposure of titles to make up for their own platform's shortcomings."
Of course. The benefits of being a mature adult with a very well-paying job :)
Tell you the truth, I'm really starting to think about putting together a low-end gaming PC just to play this how it was meant to be played :)
I'll wait until I have a chance to compare the PC and PS3 versions personally.
Yeah, if you're killing for the brotherhood, you're supposed to be 'cloaked in shadows'. They're not gonna see me coming :)
That's the crux of it though. You and a lot of other people find COD boring but you're probably in the minority. The vast majority still have fun with it and will still pick up MW3. That is what matters to these developers and publishers because if the game was not selling like it was then they wouldn't keep putting it out.
You wouldn't have to tell people to stop buying it because if they weren't enjoying it then they wouldn't buy it or they would ...
I couldn't even bring myself to read the whole article when I saw the author write "Once on PS3 and once on PC". Something about little grammatical errors like that make me lose trust in a 'writer'.
Good luck with that. You know millions will buy it. Add me to that too. But I'm also getting BF3 too so I get a pass, right? :)
Some people like more of the same. Look at the initial backlash when SSX fans thought the developers were going to go with something different (SSX Deadly Desecent). They wanted to make sure they were getting the same style SSX that they loved.
I might pre-order after I get a taste of the open beta. PS3 for me too.
Yeah, they definitely tried to sneak that past people. Ironic thing is that if they would have been upfront about it, it wouldn't have pissed off that many people.
I'm going to play the devil's advocate and state that Ubisoft is telling the 'truth' in that you do not need a 'constant' internet connection.
Competition is always good for the industry.
IMO, the reason for COD's dominance is that it focuses on the console aspect of the market which, in general, dominates in numbers over the PC aspect of the game market.
@ 3GenGames
"Just realize you're spending $15 on one map of zombies and 4 filler maps to get the $15 out of your pocket."
So that's 5 maps for $15. Doesn't seem too bad if you are really into zombies and haven't played those maps before...
I think I'll skip it though, haven't been interested in zombies for awhile now.
@ Motorola
I agree. If people want to buy it, why insult...
Yeah, we'll probably have to wait until it comes out in order to have a ture graphical comparison, a la lens of truth.
Here you go:

Unless you were talking about regular multiplayer, and not co-op...
I'll wait simply because I already have too many games I haven't finished playing yet. By the time I get through, it should probably be $20 on Amazon.
