Exactly.
A 3 hour experience that resonates with you will stay with you a lot longer than the endless cycle of COD games which half the time you couldn't remember 99% of what happened to you during your whole gaming experience.
On TV we have mini series, full programs with multiple seasons and movies.
You wouldn't hear someone who watches a 7 series program complaining about the fact that movies exist.
Its mearly a different expereance.
Sometimes a story is better presented as a 3 hour expereance rather than dragging it out for hours.

Sounds like the original planet of the apes... what year did that come out again?
I would have put the original game at number one if it didn't crash all the time.
Have the suspense was know if it was going to load the next round of not.
The guy might be a scumbag, but wishing him death is a little harsh.
can you even get a phone for under 200 these days?
I remember my bearded dragon Ren used to sit on top of it because it was warm.... until she slips off... she loved it.
If its anything like my work place, half the tools are missing or in the wrong place.
The metaverse is just a gimmic.
You want to live in a virtualised world? We already do that with games and systems like second life.
Second life is basically the same thing which has been around for years but it not taking over the world like they claim the metaverse will do. Don't forget Home on playstation and where that went.
Will having items as purchasable items as NFTs add anyting we don't already have to our games like skins/gear/etc... no.
W...
If you don't read the books, your probably fine then.
I've been watching Witcher, After life and Star Trek TNG.... although star trek will be heading over to Paramount+ soon once they sort that out in the UK.
I don't mind the idea of streaming, but now that everyone is getting in on the act, its getting so diluted that hardly any of them will be worth it any more.
Its interseting to see how PS did back then compared to now. PS4 is still selling, so we can't see where thats going to end up.
I guess looking at the overall sales will give a little bit of an idea where PS5 is going to end up.
I do wonder how the sales would be going if there wasn't for covid\chip shortage\etc. It would have been good to see where PS4 was at this time for some comparison.
@Sonic-and-Crash
Sadly I don't think thats going to happen.
Rotate a few bosses round, send out a few correct sounding emails and annoucments and then a month later it will be business as usual.
I speant 72 hours on it so far.
Its not for everyone and thats fine.
Personally it makes a nice change of pace from all the shooters and you can just spend your time exploring.
A slight trim off the top.
He's not wrong though.
What the hell did I just watched.
I don't know, but I liked it... even if it was like a bad acid trip.
It was my go to game when I first got my PS3.
I remember having a 286 running Dos that had strip poker.
Also had Police Story from Sierra had adult themes.
Now I'm just feeling old.
Don't forget how many people are stuck trying to get their hands on the latest consoles because scalpers are buying them on line and there are no shops to go to to get it instead.
So instead of you getting better, the game just gets worse.
Where would be the feeling of euphoria when you conquered that boss that’s been kicking your butt for hours.
