I think they hit this one out of the park. Hideo Kojima would not attach his name to it if it didn't ooze quality.
"A small minority will definitely benefit from the ability to download 12 PSN titles a year for $50"
How would that be a small minority? If you buy Plus, only a small minority will appreciate four free games a month? Really?
Square-Enix was absent from Microsoft. Perhaps the honeymoon is over? Hopefully, they have something up their sleeves for the Sony conference.
Microsoft really believes that this is a revolutionary piece of hardware, and that the games should be full priced since they are so revolutionary. Too bad the tech has failed to impress. It is a smarter Eyetoy. Yawn.
I hadn't thought about that. I don't have an empty room to dance around in. :(
Ugghhh... Cirque Du Soleil is incredibly lame.
I hate the purposeful misspelling of the word "connect." Also, call me old fashioned, but I want to play games with controllers.
Fail
The bulk of my PS3 library is composed of third person action/adventure games. Alan Wake fits this mold well, in my opinion. I certainly would have given it a strong look if it had came out on the PS3.
Final Fantasy 6. No question.
In the FFXIII mold, FFVII might take 30 years. XIII had no overworld map, and the rendering of the entirety of VII without an overworld map would take a ridiculous amount of time. Never mind that I would want a classic overworld, Square Enix may be talking about a total remake in the vein of XIII which would take a long time.
I read this on Seanbaby.com way back in 2000 or something.
The IGN spammers are here.
I didn't play DC2, but I remember being really excited for the first Dark Cloud. It was billed as a "Zelda Killer." I was extremely disappointed in that game. The randomly generated dungeons bored me to tears. The town building was completely stupid and linear. The combat was totally uninteresting.
I'd like to play a game where the object is to punch stoners in the face. Drugs are bad.
Kicking Satan's ass is fun. More kicking of Satan's ass, please!
Like this needed explaining. FF6 is the greatest game of all time.
Where's MetalGamerShow?
I have never forgiven Activision for Ghostbusters on the NES. Seriously, I haven't bought an Activision game since Tony Hawk 1 on the PSX. They pretty much have always sucked.
Nintendo is sitting on lots of cash right now. They dominated with a cheap piece of hardware. The main argument this guy presents in this article is the fact that the Wii is underpowered. This is true, but I think that the next Nintendo console will have some horsepower since Nintendo has all this money. Why would Nintendo abandon the hardware race after a first place finish?
