HD gaming is the future of gaming. Both of the true "next-gen" systems are centered around it. And this will not change!
Is say "true next-gen" because I don't consider the Wii a "next-gen" system. Its a Gamecube with a new controller and online capbilities that will actually be used!
No matter what anyone may think, anything that you delay will give your competition a little more of an immediate edge.

I myself purchased a 360 and I was by far a huge PS user. Not only did I do a few beta test's for the PS2, I am a member of G.A.P. (gamer advisory panel) and a 4 year member to the official message boards.
I made my decision to purchase a 360 because I was convinced that after E3, Sony is not in this thing for the gamer. This is my opinion and is the reason why I made my choice.

The fanboys will probably read the article but never post a reply due to the fact that it really seems as if this is a very "unbiased" opinion of the two "high-power" machines.
Oh well, if we didn't have fanboys, half of the gaming sites we have today would never exist.
These are Japanese reviewers! Japanese gamers are not the huge fans of FPS's like Americans and many Europeans.
The Japanese love their RPG's and racing games.

Sony didn't have to rely on other divisions of the company to make up for the losses in their gaming division.
M$ has had to have other divisions cover their losses since the beginning of the XBox.
It is very much the same thing.
Only now, Sony has to hope that its other divisions can cover the loss. M$ already knew that the losses would be covered. That is where the difference is.

I own a 360 and I am very very pleased with it!

M$ has been doing this since the launch of the original XBox. No big suprise to me.
Sony has borrowed a lot of money to put towards PS3, Blu-Ray, and Cell development.
When you have high production costs coupled with the fact that the company loses money on each PS3 sold, it doesn't take a genious to figure out what needs to happen.
This is why the software sales are so important!

I have watched the Marketplace trailer for GOW on my 52' HD LCoS T.V. and I am totally blown away!
If this is the best the 360 can do, then I am fine with that.
