You know what, I am not buying a PS3! I will admit that whole heartedly! I am more than happy with my 360 and the lineup of games that is on the horizon. I love marketplace and XBLA as well.
BUT!!
This game does look pretty damn good!
I just played a demo of Need For Speed Carbon and it seriously looks like it could have easily been done on a PS2 or XBox. Of course it is a game from EA, so I shouldn't have expected too much from it.

But anyway, leave it up to Rockstar to come up with another inventive game.
I really give them credit for trying to break the stereotype of GTA that seems to follow the company everywhere.
This is shaping up to be a really unique gaming experience.

EA games are not very good anymore!
No matter if you love Sony, M$, or Nintendo! You can pretty much all agree that EA has been putting out horrible games for quite some time now.
I really like how Mark Rein has been quite outspoken on many of the claims that some of these other gaming companies are making.
The only thing that I will have to say in defense to EA's comments is that EA deals in licensing to major sports organizations. This all gets rolled into development costs. I couldn't imagine what EA has to pay for the MLB, NFL (exclusive), NBA, PGA, and NHL licenses! Not to mention what the cost is for the athletes time for "live camera cap...

Marketplace has been huge for the "Live" service. Is everything worth the money? No, its not. But there are some things that are. (Mainly arcade content).
And I also love the point structure for the service as well. Why? Because it keeps me from having to put my credit card info onto my XBox. I would much rather purchase a $20 1600 point card from Gamestop then throw my credit ...
To tell you the truth it was more of a knock against the news4gamers site than rpgsite.
I personally do not believe that gamers opinions should be considered newsworthy.
Not to say that our voices should not be heard, but there are many places where that can be read, such as rpgsite.net.

Epic has survived for many years without that backing of Sony. They receive "mucho dinero" from any company that uses the "Unreal Engine".

I thought Blu-Ray was the wave of the future for gaming (according to Sony)! Now they say that digital downloads are? So do they still think its a good idea to implement Blu-Ray into gaming when it really won't matter in 5 years?

Two units off the top of my head that IMO were better than Gameboy were the Sega Gamegear and Atari Lynx.
Both of these units offered so much more than what the Gamboy had to offer yet they both failed in the long run!
And now we have the PSP which in functionality is superior to the DS, yet it is not doing nearly as well and will probably follow the same path as the Gamegear and Lynx.

The problem this time around is that there was never any competition before. The PS2 had already launched in Europe way before the XBox.
The truth is that no one will know until the PS3 is launched in Europe.
