PD announced that GT5 had already passed the 6million mark last month. Try to keep up.
There wasn't any hype for BlackOps around my area too and look at how much it sold.
Any game not named COD/GT/Halo with a reasonable budget will be happy with the 2 million+ sales mark most Sony first party games achieve. This is a non-issue/
UC3 will blow away all competition in the graphics front this November.

Rorona did really well for Gust, selling > 250k copies worldwide if i recalled correctly.
Totori did even better, selling more than double the LTD of Rorona in Japan.
Gust makes lovely games and i sure am glad that they are getting rewarded for their efforts :)

i was so happy that there is splitscreen co-op in KZ3 that i just feel indifferent about the lack of online co-op.
