I can see myself buying this if they improve the gameplay.
but Nintendo are horribly mistaken if they think the 3DS can easily outsell the NGP 2:1 this round.
The new era of smartphones have changed the market's appetite for high-end portables devices. And seeing how gaming is the most used feature, NGP has a good shot at the very least.
I might buy both system this christmas but i would need a great software lineup from both Sony and Nintendo to justify my purchase. SF remakes and casualware aren't going to ...

i think he basically reconfirms what most of us have known for a long time now: The PS3 is simply a more powerful hardware compared to the 360.
On one hand, you have statements from industry veterans like Carmack and on the other, PS3 exclusives like GOW3,UC2 and KZ3. This should be more than enough to settle any debate.

But seriously, WKC is the only JRPG this gen that come close to FF12, which imo, is the best open-world JRPG ever made.
ToV worldmap didn't impress me as much (neither did SO4) in terms of scale and detail. Plus in WKC, the transition from exploration to combat is seamless and that is one huge reason why i love FF12 worldmap design so much.

I predict that trend will continue until the 3DS gets some big titles out. ToA or Zelda remake isn't going to cut it, Nintendo needs a Mario game asap.
The Wii is completely dead in the water, PS3 should easily outsell it by at least 2:1 this year. PSP software sales remains incredible, MHP3 could even reach 5million before MHP3G releases.
As a Twisted Metal fan, i'm definitely anticipating TM more than UC3 but i think it's safe to say that UC3 is much more likely to win the GoTY ;)
The Uncharted series has mainstream appeal and a level of quality and polish its competitors just can't beat.
i do wonder how they are going to balance it though, that ability is way too powerful if it can be spammed repeatedly.

The PS3 definitely has a fanbase(HeavyRain,Flower,TLG,J ourney) that appreciates unique games like Okami, do it Capcom!

KZ3 will be my last shooter for this gen but i'm rooting for DICE this fall.
BFBC2 was fantastic and i have little doubt BF3 will be a much better game than whatever Activision craps out. It can only be a good thing for the industry if EA manage to steal a portion of the COD fanbase, competition ensures quality.
So glad that UC3 isn't going to be Drake's last outing, the Uncharted series still have lots of untapped potential.
