can't stand gametrailers, but i let this one slide because of Jaffe.
Man, it's so good to hear from him again. There's few others in the industry who can deliver the kind of no-bullshit perspective Jaffe's (in)famous for.
Yes, the game practically screams for Move support. I wouldn't be surprised if it was delayed for that reason.
i'm pretty sure there will be plenty of people out there who will be stunned after realising that it is a game running in real-time.
This and FF13VS will be the prettiest RPG released this gen.
don't we all? :)
At least we have Atelier Totori, Ar Tonelico 3, TrinityZ, HyperDimensionNeptune, Disgaea4 and FF13-2 to keep us busy this year. Then hopefully Ninokuni,FF13VS and Tales of Xillia for 2012 :)
'..respect the hackers...'
you are kidding...right??
No one wants more trouble to befall the ps3, but we're looking at a lose-lose situation here. There is absolutely no reason to believe this blackmailer's words.
Hackers are attention whores, and they will do whatever they can to get it. People who think that anything will change just because Sony gives in are incredibly dense and naive.
glad i'm not the only one :)
hackers really are a lame bunch of idiots, yup i'm SURE Sony would be threatened by this dickless blackmail.
What's stopping this f$#%er from publishing it even if Sony gave in to this childish demands? The hacker community has proven themselves to be a bunch of f@#$tards who cares absolutely nothing about the consequences of their actions (MW2 hack situation) and they expect people to believe them?
LOL.
I can see myself subscribing if it turns out to be true.
if only it was from a credible source...i can't trust anything from that garbage site.
this is an oversimplified explanation but basically...
M$ fans want the 360 to win, PS3 = threat
Ninty fans want the 3DS to win, NGP = threat
For me, Sony is the only one out there capable of bringing excitement to the gaming industry and regardless whether they 'win' or not, i'm just glad i'll be getting the best portable experience money can buy in roughly 11 months time.
As long as Sony profits from NGP, this is a w...
well said.
And the portable 3D effect actually comes at the cost of battery life (<5hrs from official Nintendo sources)
couldn't have said it better. Sony might lose a chunk of the market due to the price of the insane tech, but this is really the best news for hardcore gamers.
This is exactly what i like about Sony :)
Sony really surprised me today. As a hardcore gamer, the NGP is looking like everything i ever wanted in a portable condensed into one unbelievably sweet package.
I was afraid that Sony will scale back on the tech but boy did they stun the world this time. Kutaragi's legacy lives on, and we are all set for an exciting future :)
i still can't believe this....holy shit O.O
i'm not as concerned about the price of the hardware itself, portable games should aim for the $20-$30 range.
Slightly off-topic, but HotShotTennis is one of the best games i've played this year. Godly gameplay, great production values and lots of depth and collectibles....AND IT'S ONLY $19.99!
I love the trend Sony is starting here, HotShotTennis is easily the best 20 bucks i've spent in quite a well. Buy it guys! You won't regret it.
oh you will get used to it soon :)
i've been ignoring them since 2007
Killzone Liberation proves that GG can make amazing non-FPS games.
No one knows what the new IP will play like but i'm willing to bet that it isn't a traditional FPS. Why not make a KZ4 if that's the case?
Its a good thing imo. Guardian of Light is nothing short of brilliant and i love to see what CrystalDynamic can do with a TR reboot.
But i don't agree that the Uncharted series was inspired by TombRaider. UC1 plays nothing like the TombRaider games i tried, and the focus was always more on shooting/action than platforming/puzzle solving.
If it wasn't for GT5, HeavyRain would be my personal GoTY.
I went through a variety of emotions when playing that game.
Some might not like jaffe's tendency to mouth off everything on his mind but i do appreciate his frankness and passion for the games he create.
TwistedMetal is always going to be a day one purchase for me but i'm seriously considering the collector edition if they ever decide to do one.
great interview, the magnetic ability sounds sweet and i'm pretty interested to find out how it performs in gameplay.
