they will keep doing it if you don't call them out
i knew there can be no game with greater potential than a 3D Demon's Souls 2 with Move support.
I'm still waiting for it...
don't get me wrong, FF13 is Square's game and they should obviously take all the blame...but it's just naive to think that the multiplat decision had no influence on the final outcome.
I still think 360 owners are lucky that Kitase's team pulled out all the stops to prevent players from revisiting locations, the disc swapping would have been a hellish experience otherwise.
It's the convenience that got people thinking, but we'll never know the truth unless Wada goes ...
dude while i agree that western gamers and reviewers in general give too much credit to WRPGs and diss JRPGs too readily these days...i still think it could have done better had they retained the things that the fanbase have come to love.
FF12's release wasn't THAT long ago and it did pretty well even though it wasn't done by the main FF team. Despite huge changes, that game is way more FF-ish than FF13 and achieved that while taking bold steps forward for the franchise.
...
i know it isn't going to be Twisted Metal, but i'm won't give up hope!
"threaten GT5's racing crown'
4 words not to be taken lightly. There isn't a single game in the market that comes close and nothing have been forecasted to challenge GT5 directly.
great display of class from the leader of the xbots. I never expected anything less.
Then again, this is from the same guy who thinks that having FF13 running on 3 discs at 576p resolution is somehow a showcase of the 360's capabilities....
is that at least they pick the right game to emulate. UC2 is only matched by GOW3 when it comes to interactive action sequences.
Unfortunately, this will probably kill the franchise if handled badly. The franchise has already lost 80% of its soul and will soon become unrecognisable by its core fanbase if the 'westernisation' process continues. Dunno about you guys, but FF CGI is always something i look forward to and they are stunning as always in FF13. I don't wanna see them dit...
that's an...interesting observation...
With loads of high rez textures,FF13-2 will most likely encounter the same situation as SO4. SO4 was especially bad as you have to frequently swap discs back and forth to access new locations. I imagine it will be much worse if they introduce open exploration to FF13. It will make more sense for SE to compromise the open gameplay than to endure the complaints from the 360 camp.
On topic,my main gripe with FF13 is that it tries too hard to please the newcomers and alienated the fa...
they can't do that unless they ditch the DVD format, they will not want another SO4 situation
that's what you get when you offer inferior products as prize
You obviously have never played UC2 and KZ2. Either that or you are completely out of your mind.
The background and level of detail in UC2 and the lighting in KZ2 are way more advanced than whatever Epic done in gears. Did the train level in gears have moving carriages that affected gameplay? And then there's the simplistic particle effect and 2D explosions they use in gears, and let's not mention the horrible character models.
You might have enjoyed gears but please...
they created the inFamous world with ONLY 12 artists!?! I didn't even noticed!
I'll be brutally honest here, inFamous looks like it was designed by 50 artists while Prototype could't have used more than 10.
and he even managed to make it look easy!
my friends and I used to spend entire days playing light gun games like Crypt Killer back in the PS1 days...this is really tempting me
and i still can't stop thinking about how awesome it's going to be.
Demon's Souls 2 with full 3D and Move support = me buying a 3D tv + Move bundle
Batman: Arkam Asylum platinum was hard?
Anyway, great news!
lol good one, bubs up :)
we are getting great games every single month and yet you are complaining about NPD numbers?!?!?
Does it matter if it gets a nicer figure on the NPD report if it means we're getting a less polished experience???
