Did you tell a lie favorable to PS? Did the news crack you so bad you're switching sides? I hear some of the more popular Xbox influencers are doing that, but they have brands with followings to think about. You have hundreds or thousands of alt accounts with names that are already forgotten before the mods come along to delete them within a few hours.

This Xbox shift has cracked some people. This is beyond moving the goalposts or having inconsistent positions from one argument to the next. They are jumping between opposing positions within the same argument like no one is going to notice.

I gave a scenario in which the profits coming in from the two camps are not equal. Is it your belief that Microsoft would not be concerned with which of those camps was driving the higher profits and would not adapt their strategy to cater to the audience driving the most profits?

I was referring specifically to Xbox fans who did want him to solidify that Starfield is staying put. I borrowed the language from the question Phil answered: "Can you solidify that Starfield is staying put for the time being?"

The internet is a far reaching and wondrous thing. Phil and co only need to give a slight nudge in the form of carefully worded, misleading statements to spur a a legion of village idiots to log into their Thunder112 or whatever accounts on places like N4G and unwittingly tell the lies that Microsoft never actually stated.
Here's what Phil explained to Destin about publishing on other consoles after saying he could not solidify that Starfield is staying put for the time being.
