I actually felt it was more like God of War than Zelda.
Gamers' reputations fall into the big picture, I think. It's difficult for the rest of entertainment to take video games seriously and part of it is because you don't commonly see people complain about movies or TV shows the way we complain about video games. Those communities don't usually go at each other, that's also pretty uncommon. Gamers just seem to breed a lot of anger and negativity that just doesn't need to be there it seems.
But that also brought gamers together in a way. Suddenly xbox and PS fans found common ground with the things Microsoft was doing wrong, and the massive backlash helped reverse all that.
I've seen people snub games for being made by the wrong developer. :/ Some guy I used to know was psyched for Ducktales Remastered. The moment he heard it wasn't developed in house by Capcom, he stopped caring altogether.
That's crazy, I actually wrote a blog about this topic not long ago. Really glad to see others discussing this as well. :)
I think they'll both sell well. The Wii U version of Watch Dogs certainly can't get in the way of Mario Kart succeeding.
I don't think they will do it with Mario Kart because they know anyone with a Wii U is getting the full game anyway. Same goes for Smash Bros. Which begs the question why they let it be an option to automatically download any game demo that comes out. Sigh.
Heck, why don't we just get Bruce Lee? We could get stock audio from his movies lol.
To be fair Titanfall is also on 360. Making a dent in Japan on 360 is better than nothing at all.
Oh wow, this comment just popped up for me when I posted my reply to Elite. I totally agree. Racing sims like this were made for VR. :)
Oh well of course, that's a given. But the sense of 3D from these three screens is pretty awesome. I'm now imagining this game with a VR setup. Soooo much immersion. :D
Last week wasn't *too* bad. Especially considering PS4 still doesn't have a lot of Japanese-centric content and Vita's barrage of game announcements hadn't happened just yet.
Is that so? I can't remember a time when Vita totally outsold 3DS. Pretty awesome either way to see the two competing more rigorously. :)
Vita's doing better and it's got games coming out. Certainly not a HUGE surprise. :P
I didn't know PS5 was out. o.o In all seriousness, great to see Vita up there. :D
Heck no, 3DS and Vita should join forces against the evil iPhone empire. :P
Vita's glorious comeback. Great to see it in the top spot for a change. Bet no one expected that a year ago. :)
Yeah, EVERYTHING sold a lot less in Japan due to the tax issue. Even 3DS and Vita are down and those are monster sellers in Japan.
360 was called a failure in Japan pretty early, but there is a small dedicated group of people playing it. Kinda like GCN or Wii U and Nintendo fans.
Zelda is great, but I also really liked Darksiders. That being said I don't see why people compare them. They have platforming and puzzles and that's pretty much where the similarities end.
