if licensing was causing that many issues, then they shouldn't have made the NES Classic in the 1st place. but i don't think thats the issue. they did this same thing with the Super Famicom Wii Virtual Console controller. so I doubt this has anything to do with licensing... they're just old & out of touch.

graphics =/= resolution. Scorpio will still look better than current consoles on a 1080p TV, in the same way that an Xbox 360 still looks much better than a PS2 on a 480p Standard-def TV. same thing.
Xbox One X sounds too much like Xbox One S (especially over the phone) would cause market confusion. "Prime" is so associated with Amazon, they likely wont go with that. they can't use Elite either, because they already used that on an Elite controller+console bundle. i really only see "Xbox" & "Xbox 2" being an option.
its going to be called Xbox 2. like c'mon... if they're moving to the iPhone iterative generation model, it just makes too much sense. iPhone 6, iPhone 6S... Xbox One, Xbox One S... Xbox 2.... ijs.
