That is the reason for their current architecture...they want the PC games as well
In a few years, i dont see why not. Sony obviously wants to make streaming a major part of their future to get away from the increasingly difficult prospect of launching hardware.
If their streaming service takes off, i can see them wanting to just be a content provider.

i have both and they offer very different experiences, both good in their own right.
I would go vita in your situation because of remote play, cheaper software prices and the games that come with PSplus.
But if you really love nintendo games and love platformers...then 3DS. Not many companies make platformers anymore.

I dont trust early reviews because those reviewers are very averse to criticizing popular games for fear of not getting early copies of future installments.
i find it almost impossible to get unbiased reviews for Nintendo games from critics and fans alike.

The 3ds will keep ninty going...but they need to drop that wiiU tablet and hit $200 to stand a chance in the home console arena
its not just the localization that they need help with...Sega sucks at marketing as well.
Sega is so unpredictable that there is no way to guess how this will turn out...i must admit that predicting a disaster is quite safe though

i prefer sonys scheme cause it allows co-op play with one purchase. Wish they would go back to 5 systems though
nobody had a problem with family share...they had a problem with the verification system and MS did not have answers to basic consumer questions.
Interestingly, vita tv is gonna make a lot of people go digital...the key is that we still have a choice, which makes it feel less authoritarian.

the market for platformers is just too small for Naughty Dog to do this. Jak 4 will have to be farmed out to another studio with humbler ambitions and smaller budget.
They tried to make Jak 4 and ended up with the Last of Us. They said it just was not possible given what they wanted to achieve.
If the vita hardware can be this cheap then hopefully the next xperia play can use it....that would really be epic
awesome price...ubisoft often drops the price of their games soon after launch. Probably a way to compete with the used games market...not that big of a surprise tbh

They may not have wanted to bring this to the west because it may cannibalize ps4 sales a bit.
