this article is kidding right?

They are showing pc shots to ps3 killzone 2 shots... until i see the crysis ps3 screenshots, then i can make my opinion.

But if we are even trying to compare PC screens to a PS3 exclusive game, ummm i would have to say Pong's graphics kick both killzone 2 and crysis. Yes i said it! The 1972 PONG!

Crysis 1 turned up on full settings looks better than Killzone 2(although i prefer killzone 2's art style and animations, not to...

Dont' get worried...

The event Shane says happened a few games back.

My god its amazing how many ppl are on the splinter cell bandwagon that haven't played or know the actual story. So sad.

I think it really depends on which one you put more time into.

I unfortunately haven't put a lot of time into MAG, and have been playing BC2 more only because of its familiarity(been playing since the PC days).

But i dunno, my opinions tend to sway whenever i put more time in to something, or when i achieve something within a game that makes me feel better than the avg gamer.

Right now i would have to say its BC2 for me, but my opinion is kind of extre...

At first i was impressed and excited! ZOMG a 35 hour action/stealth singleplayer campaign... unheard of!

Then i read the article... sigh. I will still buy it... was just overjoyed at the misleading title. X(

ahhh well 12 - 16 hrs is already damn good for singleplayer... but just imagine if it was 35 hours of splinter cell goodness 0_0

I can't see a Splinter Cell getting GOTY... i just can't. Although Conviction may totally convince me otherwise. But if it is much like the predecessors then... no. Although don't get me wrong, I love the series.

It would be a pretty close battle between Mass Effect 2 and Halo Reach me thinks. If Halo Reach manages to make their multiplayer as successful as Halo 3's then i would say its probably leaning towards Reach. But like i said, this is just an opinion.

There is nothing wrong with having a SDTV.

Its just that if you do have one, you shouldn't complain or expect miracles from a game console that was designed primarily to be 720p/1080p.

Before i got my hdtv a few years back, i hooked my ps3 up to my computer monitor which is another possible way if you monitor supports it :)

Mirror's edge was fresh. The problem was the last few levels, which kind of felt like it broke from the theme of constantly running and getting away to constantly running and attacking. The combat system was a little too clunky, but the overall parco moves and environment was beautiful. The theme song still sometimes pops into my head now and again every time i enter a very white spacious studio haha.

I was looking for a word to describe the whole situation and you hit the nail right on the head. INTEGRITY. Ever since the release of blog sites, integrity in the gaming media has taken a full truck load to the face!

I am trying to imagine back in the days when there was no internet, and we were buying magazines from the newsagent forking out hard earned cash only to read an article like this. Seriously when you are forking out money for this and not reading it free off the net, ...

For every person that actually can't read between the lines(the sarcasm of it all), there is most likely and equal number that actually believe the sarcasm that was put forth.

If he isn't being payed for it and his reviews and contributions are just opinion pieces then that is fine. If he is being payed for it, then the problem there is that he is also misguiding a lot of people that can't read expression in writing. Which comes down to poor professionalism as a whole.

totally agree, although fatal frame comes very close.

Something about Silent Hill's 2 off pacing and psychological buildup that made it completely terrifying for me. It wasn't very in your face scary, but what you couldn't see and the escalation of that tension really screwed with my brain. It did your head in with very subtle doses of fear until you were a wreck. Oh and lets not forget the pyramid head mannequin rape scene was so weird that everytime i saw him i would freak!

I tend to think of Halo's gearing more towards an associated artistic style rather than the gritty realism portrayed in killzone's.

If Halo Reach were to look just like Killzone i would think it wouldn't be halo anymore. There is something about the bright tones used in halo that i enjoy, and well... make it halo. It is true that halo levels have a much broader scope than killzone, but then you can also apply it to each games portrayal of war. Killzone tries to get in your face p...

QTE drama? far from it actually...

Heavy Rain resembles more like the old skool lucasarts/sierra/dynamix adventure games of yesteryear, with much more diverse plot options and outcomes that literally change aspects of the story. It brings a breath of fresh air to a genre that is pretty much dying off. I loved adventure games in my younger years Police Quest, Kings Quest, Day of the tentacle, Grimfandango, Bladerunner, Broken Sword so on and so on. Which means the game is a lot mo...

You know i didn't even realize there was an awesome scene with that dr guy!!! My first playthrough i got what i wanted and just left... :) Problem was because i like playing cautious(which is a bad habit of me), i missed out on a ton of good stuff that i found on my 2nd and 3rd playthroughs.

Im coming to think being cautious kinda sucks... I did it for MAss Effect 2 as well(cautious being the paragon) and overall playing renegade options was much more fulfilling for me. bleeeh no...

Very well written, and even better... it is not scored!

Nowadays i am thinking people should take time to simply just read reviews and make their own opinions and assumptions. Facilitated with gameplay previews and segments from the internet, it is very easy to make your own decision if your going to like a game or not. No scores are WIN, it will also stop the slander's and accusations of biased fans as well as give power to the games that truly deserve praise. It also can possib...

my god... beating mass effect 2... what in the world is wrong with gamers these days. :(

AVP is okay from a point where i need my shooting down alien fix(im one of the only few who bought it just to be a colonnial marine again :P), but it is no way near polished and optimized to be a total selling machine, in fact I would say it is much more poorer than the original AVP and AVP2 on pc a few years back. But oh well, good on them i guess, sometimes you can strike it lucky!

Hmmm... the mod shouldn't have openly told everyone that he would ban "their accounts", but at the same time we can't hear or see what actually instigated the cause. I mean seriously, the whole video is only showing the actual outcome of the incident, but not the whole story. No one can judge a book by its end, we have to know what happened in the beginning and the middle to really be able to acknowledge if the mod did actually do anything wrong. When i use to take complaint calls a...

Yakuza's and GTA's are totally different.

I would not even compare them in the same genre.

GTA actually really is open sandbox.

Yakuza is open in a way, but at the same time it doesn't have the go anywhere feel of the GTA series. What Yakuza does have is story and characters, also shop locales and various odd ball things you can do within the area is much more detailed than GTA. However the world is generally alot smaller. Focusing more on a district(sub...
