Hope Guerilla does something new next and then after that do the Forbidden West sequel.
To something different for a change.

No ... The Witcher 3 update was in the works at Saber’s St. Petersburg studio and CDPR made the decision to pull the project following the country’s invasion of Ukraine. CD Projekt Red was one of the first publishers to come out strongly against the invasion of Ukraine, halting sales of their own projects and anything sold through GOG.com in Russia only days after the tanks began to roll.
.
The strange thing is,
The Saber St. Petersburg was/is just a subsidiary .....

Yea ... since its a next-gen only, they can try to be even more ambitious with the design ... but they need to focus on polishing up the performance and the animation too.

Was waiting for Steelrising's gameplay ...
Spider's signature stiff animation is still there ... and the game needs pretty hefty amount of polish given the current frame rate.

Gradually EVERYTHING in the NVIDIA leak has come/is coming true so far. Chrono Cross Remastered, Kingdom Hearts 4, Crysis 4, Street Fighter 6, New Tomb Raider
MOST OF IT....
which means that Final Fantasy 9 REMAKE, Titanfall 3, Injustice 3, Dragons Dogma 2 is also REAL?!
And Returnal, Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima and GT7 is also coming to PC?!

And here I thought/think the OG PS3 is the best looking gaming console.
With the Xbox 360 S (aka first revision) coming in at second place.
The third place is tied between PS5 Disc & Series X. (Both are different and are really good looking)
4th place is tied amongst OG X360, PS5 Digital & OG PS4.
5th place is tied amongst PS3 Slim (aka first revision), One S & One X
.
Most Boring looking : OG Xbox One aka Xbox One VCR

I would've said no ... but since the game's not releasing anytime soon and UE5 is more readily available now ... I'd say that's a good question.

Along with CP2077 crash that hurt CDPR big time which led to axing the further R&D budget,
Behind the Scene, the OG members of CDPR have mostly left.
They've joined Reikon, Rebel Wolves and Starward. Kinda mini exodus.
So now with what ever members they've got left, they want to hire UE programmers to fill the technical debt and keep the business rolling.
Basically, Red Engine Code is not possible for further enhancement, with the staff they'...

Another proprietary engine bites the dust.
This time, the Foundation Engine.

play the original on PC ... ?

The images clearly looks placeholders rather than a complete game-world.
So of course there'd be stuffs missing.
As the article pointed out, these are from an earlier build, so can't judge the current state of the game from those.
