Thanks for giving me the short breakdown of why it wasn't on PS4! I will go ahead with Trails in the Sky then like you say as I always like seeing progression from older to newer titles! I have a lot of games I am focused on though like finishing the KH series, Persona 5 later, and NieR:Automata. I always wanted to try this series out so I may try it after KH since that's the only one that's "complete now" because of the sequel.

The cosplayer obviously is quite attractive, but I don't think she necessarily "nails" the look as it was obviously put together quite quickly. She even mentions in the Instagram post for this that it is "super quick closet Lara" to celebrate the release of Tomb Raider movie earlier this year in March. That is not to say she is a poor cosplayer though because she has a lot of great stuff on her Instagram!

I honestly thought this was out on console already since I saw it on sale on Steam? I am genuinely surprised it came out on PC before the console version for a Trails JRPG. I may have to grab it on console if it ends up being cheaper to grab together. I didn't grab it yet as I already bought my share of games during the summer sale. Always wanted to get into this series as I heard they had great character development and worldbuilding! Would anyone recommend playing through Trails in the ...

I do understand your point. I actually also just came from the Reddit side of this news and saw someone else make the same comment. I think that the combat DOES get better, but I think it takes way too long for it to get interesting. It starts off quite slow and clunky-feeling with cooldowns to start off (eating those "Arts regenerate by x amount" is a pro tip here). Coupled with not having the full arsenal for all characters until about 30-40 hours in (depending on how long you tak...

@Both comments

Why can't we just say we're going to enjoy this game? There should be like no disagrees for both comments here as they clearly state they are both hyped for a video game! Even Bluemaster77 said he "can't wait to see what they've done for the enhanced consoles." Sorry, had to get that out as it is a bit annoying to see some platform hate. Let people be. I am personally playing it on the Pro as it's the only other console available...

This, exactly this. Though there are many "bad" old games, the ones that stand out and being played to this day are being played for a reason! It's why I will defend the original Deus Ex and Doom games to death. I actually had to argue with a friend that I just played Doom for over two hours, and he said, "But how?" Timeless gameplay and touch is what I said. That's simplifying it immensely, but there is a love and craft poured into those games that you don't g...

People have, and evidently failed to topple the behemoth that is WoW. The closest that come to mind are FFXIV, Guild Wars 2, and Black Desert Online. But they still cannot match the impact and popularity of WoW. It's really hard to topple something as influential as that game really, but do not think that people have not made any new MMOs! It's a very hard genre to develop in and requires a lot of commitment. The most recent one that comes to mind, "Bless Online" was the mos...

I think it just depends on what you call a memorable experience! I can recall many singleplayer and multiplayer memories as I find joy in both of them. For example, playing Divinity: Original Sin was a blast and funny adventure that used both of my friend and I's intelligence to solve problems our way. Or, when I (recently) played Baldur's Gate and met Minsc and Boo, the best companions in the game as they are extremely funny and memorable in their dialogue! Another would be playing S...

@RedDeadLB Speaking my mind man. I always accidentally collect those trinkets (e.g., Ubisoft games from recent memory do this a lot) and it drives me nuts. Then it shows up "As 1/899 collectibles collected!" I think just having it as TyrellCorp says, beating the game is enough. Doesn't matter if it's easy, normal, or hard. Just beating it once is enough to grab it. I am not really a huge fan of trophies/achievements, so I am biased in that aspect because of my Achievement Hu...

@fewDankMemes
I will be spending the $90 (overall after taxes here in the Great White North) because I think the game will be worth it! Referring to pricing as $60 or even $80 is a standard when talking about full-price titles on the interwebz though, I would suggest using those as it should not undermine your point - even if your claim is pretty loose. Even including the tax too to put more gravity on your statement when everybody else already assumes you pay taxes to a variable deg...

Is it locked to 60 FPS? I would love to play this at 120 FPS, but I'll be fine with 60 FPS Monster Hunter. This is the first time in awhile I will be double-dipping! I just purchased it now on Steam and I VERY excited. Another first time I have pre-ordered in a long while. Will finally get to spread MonHun love to my friends on the PC lol.

Maybe I am making the wrong assumption, but I am not targeting specifically Sony on this one. I am not sure why you just brought up a red herring like that. All I want is more games to do things more creatively, which is why I left it on like that. I never once mentioned Microsoft, nor are they out of the spotlight for that as well. That is all, hopefully that was more clear as I did not mean to target any specific company if you got that message.

Don't be afraid to make the jump! There are SOOO many ways to learn and great resources like the reddit and tomshardware, and it is quite a fulfilling and satisfying experience to build your first PC! It has also made my productive life great because a better PC means faster overall performance on everything - using Office 365, photoshop, etc. I can see why it is a daunting task to take on and as you point out, lazy, but rest assured its a great platform to ...

I feel like games, for the most part, do not need sequels (this goes for many other franchises) because I think there is too much a reliance on franchises and less creativity. I am not AGAINST them if they are done well! I just like it when the developers can really surprise us, it's what made Demon's Souls/Dark Souls and Bloodborne, and now Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, so exciting! Although I agree with The Last of Us slightly not needing a sequel and Metal Gear Solid (please, let it e...

Besides disagreeing with pretty much everything you have mentioned (there's a DLC), I DO think that a Last of Us sequel could have been definitely about another group of people. I feel like Naughty Dog covered all the bases really in the first game and the first game ended on a GREAT note - a proper ending to a story. To see them come back is cool, but also a bit sad because I wanted them to explore a different story and side to Last of Us. I have no doubt that they will cook something up...

I don't see much difference from this and other competitive stuff that have people who train others. People will spend money on things they deem worth their dollar. Personally, I do not care much about getting good at Battle Royale games because I watch some great players play and get better by actually going into the game and playing. Then again, I am just a casual player of Battle Royale-esque games and don't care too much about doing well. I try to put myself in their shoes as I us...

Even though I do not have Twitter, I have been consistently going to his Twitter account to check up on him every couple days. Was really worried after he had to be hospitalized, and after his last official health statement on his subreddit. Truly and deeply saddened by his passing, but I am extremely glad for all the people he influenced in game criticism. Despite how you look at his faults in the past, you can not fault the man for bringing a high standard to game journalism and critique in...

I haven't played WoW in a long while (since WotLK), but I feel like it still would not enter consoles without a major dumbing down. Simply because it was not built with consoles in mind when designing its UI or gameplay. It would have to fundamentally be changed so that it can accomodate the controller. For example in the picture link below, this is just a random high-level raid scenario where abilities and stats are all over the place. It would be a nightmare to try and shift through all...

I am getting both as people suggested, I thought that the mere idea of taking Dark Souls anywhere really interested me. And then playing the enhanced version of Dark Souls on my PC would be great as I just got some new parts! This will be a triple-/quadruple-dip for me as I am still debating on getting the Switch version depending on how it runs, but, from what I have seen, I am definitely leaning towards a quad-dip!
