Can't anyone get these alt sources removed?
In case anyone has seen them yet they're spoilers so don't look. The comments about the alt sources made me take a look and spoiled part of it for me.
The next Xbox actually being a PC would be a good idea IMO. Devs would be able to create games for the Xbox which would also work on the PC as you could have them using the same libraries eliminating the need to port to PC. PC gamers could still have the option to use the higher res textures that could be included on the disk.
This may even allow multiplayer games between PC and Xbox though PC gamers would have the mouse advantage in an FPS but could work well for racing games, a...
As daft as most of his comments are he does have a point.
Having more people does not mean it will take away any enjoyment. Games that are designed for 2-4 players are designed to be fun whether you play with one other player or three. Games designed for a dual Move + nunchuk setup will be done in a way that makes the most of that particular setup.
PS3 and 360 are pretty much PCs but very limited in comparison.
There's no way it's going full on DD next gen. People will still not have the kind of download speeds to make it mainstream especially considering that the amount of disk space games use is continuously increasing and most people's ISPs have monthly download limits.
That's what I was thinking but TBH this doesn't prove that they were already in talks with EA before they left Infinity Ward. Still, I agree that they should have waited.
The Eye can pretty much do what Natal can do. It's just that Natal is more "robust" according to Sony's head of tech development. That's why Sony passed on it as they could already do that with the Eye and investing money into it wasn't worth it just to make it a more robust.
For people who don't have an Xbox I think stats of just the new models would be useful to have as it would show just how much more reliable the new models are. Might even convince some people to pick one up (myself included).
It'll be on PC too but this is kind of making me think it'll be another game like Strike Force.
I want a proper Commandos game like the first one and it needs to be just as hard but with multiple ways to complete the missions. The problem I had with Commandos games was that they were all just trial and error and there only seemed to be one way through each mission.
This looks pretty good. I'm definitely getting this.
I knew an article like this was going to turn up sooner or later and show the kids that the visuals weren't in-game. I didn't expect the PS3 fans to make this much of a fuss though.
edit: @ kunit22c, yeah anyone mouthing off prematurely had it coming TBH.
Very nice and the game-play looks great all that's left is for the story to deliver. I hope it sells really well as I don't want Remedy going bust.
You'd be better off with a HP Slate. You'll be able to run the good RTS games on it like Red Alert 2 rather than a dumbed down version designed for the iPad.
It looks good though but I'd much rather have Red Alert 2 TBH plus with the Slate you'd be able to run a large number of previous PC games.
Maybe they give them fake names because they're not allowed to use the real names of certain guns without a licence.
Anyway I wouldn't expect the same gun in two different games to work exactly the same. I'm guessing that sometimes they need to tweak the way the gun works to fit the game it's being used in for gameplay reasons. After all, neither of these games is a soldier sim.
The peope at Crytek are good at what they do. I'm inclined to believe this guy but I think we should wait and see for ourselves before we start saying they'll be the same on consoles. You never know, Crytek might surprise us and use the extra space on the Blu-Ray.
On another note, Ubi's DRM is a real pain when your connection goes off for a bit. I was playing AC2 when the connection to the server was lost. It would have been good if it just checked for a connection every 15 minutes or so.
They didn't even try to soften the blow with their DRM. IMO they should have at least given us the option of server-side savegames as a "feature" and had the DRM as part of that.
It does seem to be a bit soon though I wouldn't be surprised if it's delayed till early next year (assuming it is set for the end of this year) since they delayed SC:C so much.
SC:C looks great from what I can tell. There may not be a PC demo but I'm still picking it up sometime. This time though it seems the co-op is where it's at instead of the SP campaign.
This so called review stinks of bias from the very first sentance.
I'd be surprised if this meat-head even knows anyone with a PS3 as he would likely only attract his own kind.
I tried the demo which was nothing special but I got the game anyway and trust me it's so much better.
Get it. You won't regret it.
I can't wait to hear what some of the cars sound like through a tunnel
