Yeah I think length surprised a lot of people. Remedy deserve to do well with this after having put so much time and effort into it.
I've been told the problem I had was with using winrar. Apparently winzip extracts it just fine so I'll have to give it another go and try that.
@ Corrwin: I don't mind DD myself. As long as the prices are good since I can usually find new games cheaper from online stores whereas DD services tend to charge full retail price. DD for me is best for older games as they have some amazing offers every now and again just like the £4 for GTA4 on D2D.
I don't think ther...
It will most likely hit the PSN Store at some point. This might be an early demo for those who were in the beta. Or maybe just an early demo for randomly selected people.
Buying GTA4 from D2D has kind of put me off buying games from DD websites. Took me 8+ hours to download the 13.5GB .rar file and it was corrupt.
I might just stick with Steam unless I see a great deal on another service.
Not much there TBH. Would be nice to see him as the star in a reasonably priced car.
The only way I see this working is if you pay something like 20% of the games full price to play 20% of the game. If you decide to purchase the game you can then pay the rest of the money.
Paying for a trial and then paying full for the full game takes the piss.
Health packs are back. Some people aren't going to like it but I prefer health packs in an FPS game and never had an issue with regenerative shields.
Yeah paper manuals aren't what they used to be. I loved reading my paper manual for Command & Conquer back in the day but they're so crap now that I rarely look in them any more.
Removal of game manuals should also bring down the price but there's no way that's happening.
I'm sure someone from Sony already mentioned that they were running a marathon not a sprint race.
Hepefully Thief 4 will be a proper stealth game.
It's looking good. It also costs less than the standard game too which is a plus.
I imported my copy but I'm definitely getting this limited edition.
Would have been nice to have a larger art book though since I'd like to take some high res scans for wallpapers and such.
It's a great game. You just have to pretend you're playing as Jason Bourne.
I think it's good that a site like this has picked up on Move since it's audience is made up mainly of the kind of people who would think it's just a copy of the Wii controller.
It's good that someone who is probably a casual gamer thinks it much better than the Wii.
lol this is the first thing he's said that I can agree with.
edit: If a game isn't very good console gamers will switch off almost immediately whereas PC gamers would continue to play to see if it improves. This is obviously a generalisation and not true for all console and PC gamers.
Anyone wanting to purchase these games would be better off getting them from gog.com as the Steam version of Commandos 1 runs far too quickly on new CPUs to be playable. I tried different software to slow down my CPU but none seemed to work. The version on gog.com works fine on modern systems so that should be the one to go for. I don't know how the Commandos 2 and 3 work though.
Snake being killed off would make one of the most memorable games ever but could Kojima make new character who was as good?
edit: Killing him off doesn't necessarily mean the end of Snake in the Metal Gear franchise. There's always room for prequals.
If only every issue was fixed this quick.
I would never have thought a tech site would have that kind of money for anything let alone a leaked product on ebay. Will the extra hits make up for it?
