The next generation of GPU architecture isn't ready yet, with that being the case, there is no "generational leap" available for consoles yet. Nvidia or AMD need to have their next Gen available before consoles have something to jump to. Currently, the X1X isn't too far off the GTX 1080 ti... There's no leap above the 1080 ti right now (commercially).
Honestly, I feel that we are so close the ps5 I don't wanna buy a PS4. I have my Xbox and a gaming PC, not enough time for those already... Best combo next Gen has got to be Playstation and PC.
@prettygoodgamer, the Xbox pioneered some really amazing features that Playstation wouldn't have today, if they hadn't ripped them straight from Xbox.
I wouldnt call it a train wreck, since I've had countless hours of great playtime on my Box... But I freaking hate their "release everything during the holidays" policy so much, it will drive me to Playstation.
@parasyte, Typical SJW response. You expect everyone to agree with you, and if they don't you EXPECT they should get banned.
Guess what, people have opinions. Some agree with you, and many do not. You cannot force people into submission and bend them to your "will.". That is how the Nazi's were born, and the SJW movement walks a scarily similar line.
I'll never forget my first encounter with Mantis, and all the great storytelling... My first experience with MGS stuck with me for decades, as some sort of pinnacle for gaming genius in my childhood anyway.
MGSV was a fun stealth game. But it was no "MGS".
Saddest news was that Take Two made RECORD PROFITS because of GTAV micro transactions.
Gamers aren't pushing back. Micro transactions are just our new way of gaming. Sad.
Oh look, a game launched with tons of issues... What else is new in 2018?
By 2020 they will have us paying fees for patches.
Halo had it's day in the sun. They have no adventures left, it's the same story repeating itself. I have very fond memories of Halo 1 and 2....
I'm holding out for another console until the next full generation... But if Sony did a PS4 handheld I'd probably pick it up at launch.
Want to compare a PC flagship game to PS4 Pro's flagship game, and then see who is playing checkers?
I mean, GoW probably should look better than a game 5 years old built for Xbox One, right?
How to compare a PS4 Pro flagship game, to an Xbox One launch game that's 5 years old....
Yeah, not fair to compare... GoW is 5 years newer.
Isn't Ryse like 4-5 years old? This should never even be a comparison.
This is just the problem... Thet just control how people are supposed to enjoy their game. And when people find a fun way to grind, they take it away. They always Nerf this and that to make sure the grind is as mind numbing as possible.
"It's clear to us the gamers see the company differently than we do".
Actually, the problem is that gamers DO see EA the way you do. That's its a money machine, and you're willing to bend your gamers over for a buck.
They are only sorry because there was enough backlash to affect their bottom line. Every other game company is still using the same tactics, but just BARELY less than EA so that they can get away with it.

Personally, I'd trade in these 4 original Xbox games for 1 new IP.
They are great games, but please put resources into new exclusives!
- Lack of consistent exclusives
- Mainly releasing exclusives during holiday season
- Not coming through on highly anticipated (and overhyped) features (the cloud, hololens, Kinect, anyone?)
- Overhyping the few exclusives, that fell flat
Yeah, I'm an Xbot, I stuck it out all generation.... The multiplats have kept me having fun. But the next Xbox is in trouble if Microsoft can't do something revolutionary with Exclusives.
Hard to disagree... Crackdown 3 has been dangled in front of us for 5 years, no recent updates. Sea of Thieves? Wtf....
I've had so much great gaming on my X1, but mostly from multiplats like Destiny, Far Cry, Witcher, etc...
I'm waiting until the next FULL next Gen console, and will have to take a hard look at all the competition before I stick with Xbox.
Actually, the X1X performs comparably to a 1080 ti. Not exactly, but pretty close. Right now, the 1080 ti is the "go to" card for 4k performance on PC's, and they're still only getting 30fps most of the time. The X1X can hit 4k at 30fps, I assume because it has less overhead than a PC...
Anyway, my X1X performs closely to my PC, which whether you believe it or not, is an i7 8700 K, TUF Z390 MOBO, 16GB Ddr4 Ram, Evga GTX 1080 TI.
