This is what Microsoft wants. Why should they wait to get $60 for a new game release a couple times a year, when they can slowly bleed your wallet dry throughout the entire year! That's whether or not new games are even released.
Just think how much money Microsoft is making when they turned Windows and their programs into a monthly subscription service. This gaming service is the same principle.
Don't be fooled, subscription services are not designed to save anyone money. They are designed for a more steady stream of revenue. They want 24/7 access to your wallet.
Ironic: EA implements a loot system to increase their stock price and please investors. Instead, gamers massive backlash leads to decreased stock price and angry investors.

You should write a letter to the 3+ million ACTIVE X1 players on PUBG and remind them the game "isn't fun."
PUBG needs work, but is far from the "turd" PS4 gamers wish it to be.
It would get ugly for them if EA and MS took a dump on this franchise...
But yeah, my initial reaction was worried that they'll micro transaction everything.
Destiny 2, so much lost potential. I was a big fan of TTK, and hoped for more of that. Instead, the new raids are ridiculous. Hopefully Bungie finds a way to redeem the franchise.

Thats pretty ignorant of you to call those games irrelevant, when I personally love those games, along with millions of other gamers... And I don't like any of the PS4 games you mentioned, but I would never suggest "they're irrelevant.". Open your mind a little bit, and see that we don't all fit in the same puzzle piece.
I played Gears, Forza, and PUBG this weekend. Barely had time for those...
Hey, if you're okay with having no choice, good for you. So many good things on PS4, an upgraded controller would just be more icing on the cake.
Hey, it's awesome that Sony focused on some very important aspects of the gaming experience... Just saying though, an elite controller is also good for a lot of gamers.
I have a hard time using the DS4... Maybe it's because I've used X controllers so many years, but i just never felt it fit in my hands well.
X1 controller on a PS4 would be a dream for me (since I'm probably gonna be picking up the next sony console).

You have to admit, it's very funny.... All PS4 guys talking trash about Xbox losing NpD in December, only to find out Xbox actually beat PS4, and now its all explaining it away. It's a meaningless win for Xbox anyway.
Regardless of "release dates," it is clear Sony has prepared for the future and many years of a constant exclusive release schedule.
If (and hopefully "when") Microsoft changes direction, it will take a couple of years for the gamers to feel an effect of more consistent exclusives.
Fable is not the exclusive MS should be focusing on... They should be focusing on MULTIPLE exclusives, including Fable.
It seems to me, a problem has tried to let too much ride on one exclusive here, a d another one there. They expect one exclusive to carry the console too much in a season.
