@Flewid638, I think most cards running 1440/60fps on modern games have at least 8GB VRAM right now.
@Abizzel1, my only hope is that high end GPU's are so overinflated right now because of crypto mining, hopefully Sony and MS can get their exclusive GPU's for a fraction of the cost of what we get at retail.
I have a Rift, my biggest problem is the high cost of games, considering how hollow a lot of them are.. Most games to me are like "experiences".... Just a taste of what VR can be. I guess that should be expected, since we are still in the early adopter phase.
Gotta be EA, everything they touch lately is covered with controversy.
As soon as the FTC announced their investigation, you just knew Bethesda would have to respond.
What's sad is, Bethesda didn't respond out of loyalty to their customers, because they didn't care... They only responded when the Federal Trade Commission started snooping around.
Oh I remember it like it was yesterday - The great canvas shortage of 2018. Almost caused a recession, but Bethesda just "found" some canvas and saved the day.
Haha, and gamers everywhere collectively rolled their eyes at Blizzard...
Bethesda created a game revolved around killing eachother, where "extreme harassment" is actually encouraged. Other than the targeting of homosexuals, that is the game they created.
@shaggy, I might be remembering wrong, but I'm pretty sure they announced a long while back the fully destructible map with 100 players. They didn't call it "Battle Royale", but pretty sure they announced a massive amount of players.
A lot of why I went with Xbox over PS was for this game, Crackdown was so much fun.... However, Seems like every time I open a Crackdown 3 article, something else has been removed and more expectations tampered down. I feel like no matter what they release, their player base won't be happy.... Who wants to fully destroy a map with no one else to mess around with?
I subscribed to Chris Robert's newsletter years ago, excited to read all the news they could produce.... Haven't read it for a LOOOOONG time, until the latest issue a week or so ago hoping they'd finally release.
Guess what? Same old newsletter, "look! Be proud we released some minimal content! We raised so much money and are working hard! Keep sending us money!".... And the letter goes on and on, and still no release date, not even a target year, ...
Bethesda showed their true, ugly colors, with Fallout 4. I really hoped Fallout 76 would be their redemption.... Not much hope left for Fallout 5 at this point.
I wish Dev's would throw in the towel with their great legacy, rather than pissing it away over several years. What a shame.
Battlefield V; when trying to please everyone, means no one is happy.
If people were boycotting and micrtransactions were killing games, we wouldn't see them on every game now. Game publishers and developers are among record profits year after year now. I hate it, but don't see an end to it anytime soon.
Blizzard revived backlash from their most loyal gamers about mobile gaming... And Blizzard doubled down right in their faces!!!
Just goes to show you how profitable mobile gaming and micrtransactions are! A developer can shit on their loyal gamers for 30 years and not blink an eye!
Shoot, you can buy the $100 version of the game now, and it's STILL riddled with loot boxes and MT.
NBA 2k19 even calls the money in the game MT! No shame!!
"please give mobile a chance..... It's so easy to develop and a micro transaction cash cow!!!"
There, fixed his statement.
I saw this coming too.... Except because the Oculus Go and Quest are the future.
Oculus Rift 2 is being canceled because the future of VR is NOT strapped to a PC. They don't need all those wires and sensors anymore.
I have a Rift, but I'd take a small graphics downgrade to the Quest just to be able to put it on anywhere and play. So much better than my basement strapped to my PC.
The graphics can help with immersion, but nothing pulls you out of the experience as fast as being tethered to a cord on your PC. My Rift is hugely fun... But the Quest and being able to walk around your entire house/yard/whatever, will be so amazing. Plus, the techniques the Devs are using to increase graphics are pretty amazing, if you haven't played Lone Echo or other comparable games, you haven't seen how amazing these games can look.
If you created a move, and then someone else made tons of money by monetizing it, you'd probably want a piece of change too.
