Nintendo didn't sell Rare. They never had more than 50% stock of Rare, then Microsoft bought all but what Nintendo had and Nintendo had no choice but to sell it or support Microsoft.
@Wicked
You make it sound as if it was luck, not market research or anything..
This is really cool. I hope they figure out how to fix the CD drive someday, I'd like to see it in action.
First year of the Wii U was pretty good. Same for PS4.
People forget that Nintendo has already proven that they have what it takes to dominate the market just last generation. They also forget that they've had powerhouse consoles every gen except this and the last. There's really nothing stopping Nintendo except themselves, but we'll see if they restrict themselves again when the NX is revealed.
Yep. One of my levels was rendered (almost) completely unbeatable. It's still possible with some insane wall jumping, but nobody should have to do that. I'll have to reupload it with a fix.
I wish it was easier to find good levels. I know my levels aren't the greatest but even Miiverse was easier to get yeahs on (compared to stars), I have more followers on Miiverse than I have stars on all of my mario maker levels. Don't even get me started on yeahs.
Can't not release it on the Wii U. It just wouldn't happen. NX port in the future is a possibility, though. It just won't be NX exclusive.
I do think Nintendo will stay true to their word and keep it on the Wii U, however this silence is worrying.
I believe there's also a new fly mario or something for beating the harder version of gnat attack.
Xenoblade Chronicles X - 155 sq. miles
@Mr Lahey
Xenoblade Chronicles X, Wii U exclusive.
Map is around 400 square km (155 sq. miles).
They manage their funds poorly, and a lot of the money from those games goes into making games that end up being commercial failures.
I'll be giving them my support, we need more indies like these guys and I'd love to see them grow and make bigger and better games.
Holy crap, this game honestly gives me shivers every time I see it.
They're not secret anymore! Ho ho ho.
I knew I'd get a reply like Gill's, the Wii U does use a form of Blu-ray that Panasonic made for the system, correct, but for all intents and purposes it is Blu-ray technology. It is able to play DVD format with wii BC, and should theoretically be able to do Blu-ray playback should software allow it.
The Wii U effectively uses Blu-rays, the only difference being that the console can play Wii U disks, which are copy-protected Blu-rays.
If I wanted to g...
Wii U has blu ray, just can't do blu ray movie playback (for some reason).
That wasn't a look at me statement, they just wanted to avoid piracy (and they did, at the expense of the console doing as well as they had hoped).
What is the point then? You want to be able to equip this clearly underage child with overly sexualised bikini "armor"?
Sorry, I get that censorship can annoy some people, but I completely understand why it is utilized in this circumstance.
There really was nothing Nintendo could do, keep the clothing and people will ask why you can dress an underage girl in it, censor it and you get people crying out about censorship.
You can always equip this armor on any o...
What I think about the rest of the post is.
1) DKTF is an amazing platformer, many people think it's one of the best of all time. So what if the visuals aren't amazing being that it's a platformer. Yes, I would have rather had them make something like Metroid but I definitely don't mind them making one of the best 2D platformers ever :P
2) Yooka-Laylee would have been great. Obviously wasn't possible though.
3) Nintendo still makes...
