I got mine about the same time you did. Never went online until I moved out of that apartment to the house I'm in now. I'm now wondering if the PS Store will be radically changed when it's back up.
Off topic: Am I the only one that noticed that the writer doesn't know when to use plural instead of posessive? Or "our" instead of "are?" What is the deal with these gaming sites?
Your logic is sound. I cam see all of this ending up in the ps4, except MAYBE backwards compatibility, just because it isn't in the ps3.
The controllers might be functionally identical to the ps3 controllers. The dual sticks and vibration were added late in ps1's life cycle, ps2 had the same, ps3 added the sixaxis control. I can't think of anything that could be added to the ps4 controller. Certainly not more buttons. There are enough as it is.
A more powerful cpu,...
My email address is current.
I never received an email.
I'm on my second PS3.
I signed in just fine.
I tried signing in to change my password. PSN is still down.
That's it. 3.61 is live, but PSN is still "undergoing maintenance."
I am reminded of the words of Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca.
"Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon....and for the rest of your life."
If anyone tries to sign on, they will be instructed to download 3.61. that should cover the vast majority of PS3 users right there. I was prompted to sign in while browsing Netflix, and got the instructions to update.
"I'm installing 3.61 now," he replied while hitting the "Well Said" button.
Update: yeah... got 3.61 installed. Still can't sign in.
I can agreee with that. Sony will take as long as necessary to be certain PSN is safe. The current. Outage is a black eye. Another one right on its heels would be a disaster. So from a business perspective, what you're saying makes perfect sense.
However
While they will take as long as necessary to make sure PSN is safe, they are working as fast as possible to get PSN open for business again, hence the Compton Comeback analogy.

Or Sony could cut the price of the PS3 because that's the sort of thing companies do. Especially as the components that go into them get cheaper to build. Doesn't necessarily have anything to do with the Playstation Nertwork being down.
Yes I noticed... you'd think a journalist would have a spell check.
I think some people just like to disagree for giggles. Don't know how that would work though.
"Hahahaha.... I just clicked disagree, I'm funny.... hahahahaha."
See? It's not really working for me.
Now watch as I get disagrees.
Yes there are, and yes it is. Welcome to UGC news.
Ok... two different comments, so two different replies.
1. Compton, rioting following the Rodney King verdict, a restaraunt was burnt to the ground. That restaraunt was open for business in 24 hours. Completely rebuilt. I think rebuilding a network in a month is possible.
2. [Just going to click on the button that says "Trolling"]
If you plan on criticizing someon's grammar, it usually helps if you know how to spell it.
G-R-A-M-M-A-R
Hope that helped.
I didn't much care for Raging Raven either. Crying Wolf and The End were favorites for precisely the same reason.. love me some sniper duels.
I bought a 40gb model when MGS4 was released. Replaced it about six months ago when the disc loading mechanism wore out. Other than that I haven't had any issues with any sony systems in the 15 years I've played on Sony consoles. So... yeah reliability.
I'll add, though I'm not sure this is an actual feature, when I needed my ps3 fixed I got excellent customer service. the reliability and service are great features.
oh yeah.... and the games.
Roughly half of the boss battles from MGS 3 and 4 would have been suitable for this list.
From 3. The Fear, The End, and The Sorrow.
From 4. Laughing Octopus, crying Wolf, and of course, RAY.
All of these were just brilliant.
Now I want to play MGS4.
"InFamous 2 will be released on June 7"
"Diablo 3 is currently in development"
"Doctor Who is available on Netflix streaming"
Stating the obvious right? Simple statements of plainly obvious facts have gotten disagrees. I think some of these people, most likely a small minority, are hitting the disagree button just for the giggles.
Or, as with the InFamous 2 statement, they're fanboys who di...
There is no security system in existence that can not be overcome by someone determined enough.
Aside from the hacker (which may or may not be Anonymous) I think it's safe to throw some blame on
the trolls, "you ps3 fanboys are so stupid, XBL will never be hacked." (Even though, XBL HAS been hacked)
whiners, "this @#$%&$# @!$%&@# hack is it! I'm never buying another ps3!" (Lucky you already own one, or you're ...
Good point. I'd give you an informative bubble, but that's not one of the choices. How about a helpful bubble instead?
