Just sprinted to the corridor at the opposite end where most of the enemies emerged - then that stopped them. Otherwise, they just kept respawning endlessly.

I was saying nearly two years ago that there should have been a Play-mote for the Ps2 that could challenge the Wii, be alot cheaper, be BC with the huge library of games by still retaining analog sticks & eventually make it the main remote for the Ps3.
But it might now be too late. Depends on if Sony wishes to contine with two consoles(old tech & new tech) or focus on the future with Ps3 with its own Play-mote - letting the Ps2 die a graceful & natural death.

I don't think I've ever done that with all the great games I've enjoyed including Halo, Warhawk, Gears, LBP etc. Because I'm a gamer and spend my time enjoying the game....in motion.
It's the overall delivery and impression that matters and U2 certainly delivers and impresses.
...that the best looking game(Gears) on the 360 is made by a third party(Epic) using a multiplat engine. $$ certainly does wonders.
But what does this say about Microsoft's behaviour towards or relationship with its first party developers? Alot.

Uncharted is of the action/adventure genre. Yes, it does in a lot of gun play(like tomb raider) but not exclusively.
You clearly like typical shooters but U2 is not.

First U1, then GT5P and MGS4, then KZ2. Now U2. A definite pattern here.
And yet we still get x360 vs ps3 comparisons for multiplats. Obviously, for multiplat games, the ps3 version game is gimped so that it is the same as the 360.
So please, no more console comparisons. There is clearly one console that is ahead of the pack in console graphics. Indisputable.

It won't be the TRUE slim that you would normally get about four years into the cycle.
It'll be a super trimmed down ps3 so that there could be a major price drop. That's what I'm guessing after sev's "cheap or sexy" comments earlier.
The true slim should be packaged in a Vaio Laptop form and look ultra sexy. But I doubt the cell can as yet operate cool enough. I'd expect that to happen in a co...
but it would be gimped as it won't be able to do EVERYTHING the developer intended.
LBP, Killzone 2, even Uncharted could be done on the ps2, but again, they won't be able to do everything intended(including the graphics) for the original games on the Ps3.
MAG is a MMOshooter that intends to do 256 players on the Ps3. Even, fervent x360 fans would admit that their console won't be doing likewise anytime soon - if at all.

Putting out a sleeker and sexier console after ~4 years since release would extend the life cycle.
Personally, they should only release the slim once they can get everything into a Vaio laptop. It's unlikely they have the Cell operating at cool enough temperatures yet but you never know.
A Vaio Slim Ps3 will sell like hotcakes even at its current price.
Sony has just done one major redesign(slim) for the Ps1 & 2.
And if they can get everything into a Vaio-like case then it'll look way better than the current ps3.

If they can get the cell to operate at much cooler temperatures then the ultimate size of the slim would be in a sleek 'Laptop' form. Now that would be slim indeed.
And what a fantasy it would be to have a laptop ps3 with Display and kb and dual boot to Linux already installed. The ultimate portable gaming system...and computer system. Just dreaming.
So take your time Sony and bring us the Vaio Slim Ps3.

Insomniac has an IP that has so much potential to at least equal Halo. They are not there yet but they are close.
R3 needs to go modern Warfare(modern era looks, uniforms, settings etc), need a new charismatic lead and fully usable vehicles(just hate not being able to use the vehicles in R1/2 MP).
If both MS and Sony are bringing a new controller they have their reasons. They are businesses, making business decisions.
They obviously see it as the next step in controlling games....CONTROLLING games....they are CONTROLLERS....and that's all.
Developers/Publishers decide what type of games are made, using the controller at their disposal.
Now...
What Sony & MS should do is make their new controllers(for left & right hands) still...
Not just like but more like.
Human like AI for Warhawk would be ground breaking if ever done because our tactics on that game are insane.
Who will be the first Developer to pull off the most wickedly clever AI?
* get rid of the spawn flare and replace with spawn zones like warhawk
* redo the rankings with at least 20 and make harder to get - world ranking
* introduce more weapons(flame thrower, lightning gun, knife etc)
* fix the controls so they are fast and responsive like most other FPS
* bring a free for all mode
* make the Airbots more deadly and fast
* Sharpen the Bot AI so human vs bot matches are just like human vs human
Then bring on the new ...
Hope so. Sad for the old suppliers though. But business is business.
