The way I see it is that Sony and Microsoft will try to tackle Nintendo's features early on since not doing that when the Wii came out made them lose all those costumers that got into the Wii's motion controls. Once they finally did (2010) the Wii started dying down.

Regardless, if the Wii U's new take on gaming does become widely successful, the other two guys won't be left behind unable to compete.
Oh man, I really wish this would REALLY mean tons of ported Android apps.
Except that extra paper they need is worth millions and millions of hardware development, new marketing campaigns and most likely selling systems at a loss.
I'm not disagreeing with the rest of the stuff you said, because there are developers who do need more power (specially if they're developing PC versions of their games simultaneously).
As much as I love KZ and how much better it looks (specially since CoD for the PSP sold 2mil units), this will definitely sell better than it :/

I think the Wii U should have launch back in 2010 when it had become somewhat clear that Wii sales weren't going to recover.
I've heard the reason for it being more expensive is to get rid of physical copies first but no sensible consumer base would support this.
You must be a fool if you buy this instead of the physical copy.
For what it does the price is ridiculous. Although it is designed beautifully and is more of a novelty than ajything else. I'd be more down for this if it had some dirt on the OpenPandora.
Also, my two cents on the nub being a digital one like the one the Neo Geo CD had (super comfortable btw) rather than an analog nub.

It's really dissapointing and my guess is also that they can make their games 1080p but at the cost of effects.
Let's be honest though, no one is buying the Wii U for being a powerhouse yet it'll pull off some great-looking games regardless of how we put it (even the Wii did).
But yes still sad because my PC games have been running over 1080p resolution for years now.
Two things I'd like for this game
1.) For them to follow Nocturne

Wonderbook doesn't seem so bad anymore to be honest. I honestly thought it was just some interface exclusive for Book of Spells but seeing all these other games really segregates them away from the titles we actually want.
In conclusion, Sony can do whatever they want for casuals as long as they keep on making games for the rest of us (which they have as proven).
