I think this will happen. The PS5 will play PS4 games but it'll do so without enhancements. There are plenty of PS4 games that aren't enhanced on the PS4 Pro after all. You'll be able to buy the regular PS4 game and play it on the PS5 or an enhanced version that they might release along the way. Just look at FFVIII, you can either buy the PSone classic or the 2019 enhanced version.

It has to be. We're about to jump into a new console generation. They'll be targeting 1080p30fps with medium settings just like most console games targeted 720p30fps with medium settings around 2012 or so.

It's not accomplishment; it's a design choice. There are terrible games with tens of players counts and games with tight gameplay design such as Siege where it's only 5v5 and no one wishes it was any other way.
It must be nice to get a check from Ninty to correct all these people.
