I don't understand how a game with such bad controls can win shooter of the year.
Mouse vs controller is not subjective. Mouse simply gives you more precise aim than an controller. Also, you have to be pretty slow to think Golden Eye is a better game than Half-Life.
I play both console and PC games btw. That said, this is a very console oriented site and notice how no one has jumped all over my statement like you have. I think you're pretty much alone on this one. I bet you haven't even played Half-Life. I have put many hours into Golden Eye.

Split screen is inferior to LAN. Controller is inferior to keyboard mouse. My statement stands.
HalF life came out 1 year later and is superior to golden eye in every way possible.
I own the episodes for 360 as well but I still got it for PC. $7 is well worth it to be able to aim with the mouse. GTA is flat out better on PC.
GTA IV for 7 bucks, Stalker for 2 bucks, ffs
It's the most important console game I suppose, but nothing had the impact WOW had this decade. Not even close.
Come on Valve games are top notch period. They are best played on the PC...I don't see why you would want to play a Valve game on the PS3 anyway.
All of the games coming out probably pale in comparison to half-life in the source engine though. If they do it right.

Well this proves that IW flat out lied about the importance of dedicated servers and mods in MW2. I'm not sure if console only gameres are aware that mods can expand a games life by thousands of hours. Or infinite in the case of half-life.

Agreed. I will probably never buy another COD game again. Too much competition to be bothered with sub-par online and a 4 hour campaign.
Direct2Drive, Impulse and GamersGate. Not saying that they are better, just that there is competition.
9v9, no mods and no dedicated servers is simply unacceptable for a PC game. MW2 doesn't offer a whole lot for $60.
