Looks to be an excellent game for the hardcore and casual alike. It is quite amazing what ambitious developers can do when they are console exclusive, another fine example is Killzone 2 for the Playstation 3. I am impressed at how far The Conduit has come. Hopefully this will remind hardcore gamers that there are still developers out there that cater to the bread and butter crowd.
You mean 512mb, right? The PS3 and 360 have 512mb of ram. PS3 has 256mb XDR @3.2ghz, 256mb GDDR3 @812mhz, and the 360 has 512mb GDDR3 @812mhz...
I think I understand why Ripten is doing this. They dont want the hype to spread about a Sony platform, they have a preference, and it shows. It's too late to stop the hype train, gamers have played the demo, we've all seen the videos, we know there is a quality product coming down the pipe on Sony's platform. It has spread like a wilfire, and the concept of viral marketing is crass, and yet genius, albeit effective at the same time.
I guarantee you it will happen, someone will give it a bad score without ANY justifiable cause("Oh I dont like the color grey, in this game."), and they will be made an example out of, through their paid subcribers, fans, fanboys and fellow journalists alike. This is one game that you dont want to just pass off as any other "run of the mill", "average at best", shooter( the devs put too much time, love, and effort into this game, not to appreciate). So if you wan...
Jobs, is one of the greats of our time, and I hope he pulls through with a speedy and complete recovery.
I distinctly remember buying MK for 39.99 and 49.99 for MK2 on SNES when it first came out. F-Zero and Superscope, with the lightgun were on sale for 29.99 and 59.99 respectively. I bought them at Walmart in Jacksonville, TX before it became the Supercenter, but at that time, regular Walmart was at the top of the chain.
As you are entitled to your opinion, and I fought, lost alot of friends, and was ultimately wounded in combat, for the idea that I was supporting your ability to have those rights, it wouldnt be fair to my fallen brothers and sisters if I came on here and insulted you for exersizing your ability to have your own opinion. However, when we serve, we dont judge those that dont, and the same is expected. See, there is something here in this army, that you find less and less of in the outside worl...
It is an awesome desktop replacement, with alot of upgrade potential for a laptop. So congatulations. I am currently seeking out the part number for the 9800MGTX so I can upgrade the videocard(for Crysis level making and cad). The video card in it will do, but 1 gb vram vs 512 mb, there is no contest.
You could buy a laptop capable of running Crysis on high at 1440*900 resolution. I have a slightly modded Qosmio X305-Q701, and I havent met an unplayable game yet at high settings. Oh yeah, the specs are.......
Intel Core 2 Duo T9600 @2.8ghz(6mb L2 cache)
4GB DDR3 Ram at 1066mhz, 7-6-6-17
Nvidia GeForce 9700m GTS OC'd(700mhz-1000mhz-1800mhz)
320gb HDD @ 7200rpm(Vista X64) + 200gb HDD @7200rpm(Fedora Core X86)
Realtek HD 8 channel audio(4 internal speakers + 1 in...
I access the iTunes store, and download games and music all the time from my iPod Touch. I dont even need a PC, unless I want to back it all up. I can also share pictures, music, and non-encrypted videos, with my friends using the WiFi Infrastructure from the iPod Touch.
Qosmio X305-Q701 with over fifty games, and two Operating Systems, so yes I do in all fairness consider the PC to be a gaming platform even so far as the father of gaming, and it always will be, but I was speaking about consoles or controlled gaming environments, that are all-in one gaming packages, pre-assembled, user friendly, and way less upgradable than the PC. Yes those are all features that you would find on a PC, but what other console allows those kind of freedoms? The Wii is innovati...
It's my opninion, it may differ from yours, but it is mine none the less. I would say that the Wii is innovative in that it took an existing technology, and made it cheaper and more consumer friendly, and therefore appeals to a different market demographic. The PS3 is full of innovation, but thats my opinion if I choose to believe that someone who was one of the first to push parallel processing/programming towards an inevitable coming of age in the consumer market, then thats my choice. I ha...
First, I am not a fanboy, second, at least I can give my opinion without attacking someone personally, and calling them names. I mean name-calling, really? How old are you? How old are you acting? I brought up a simple opinion with a request, and you managed to utterly blow it out of proportion, call me names, stereotype me, and call me a liar. I think it's easy to see who is who here.
When did I ever say I was okay with anything, stop putting words in my mouth. I think you are mistaken, I am a gamer, and real fanboys show their true colors, by making a mountain out of a mole-hill when they feel their favorite console is being attacked...How about you maintain a level of maturity about this and take my comment for what it was, my opinion. I own a 360, so I do have a right to be here. I wasnt attacking, so there's no need to be defensive. I stated my opinion about a console ...
Perhaps you should fix your perspective, to somewhere outside of your rear-end. I stated that I wanted something intuitive, which is entirely realistic, and unbiased...If it really came down to it, The true innovator this console quarter would be Sony hands-down. I love my 360, and I'm tired of having to play originals because nothing new and worth getting comes out. This game is only a rehash, of a concept that Sony executed successfully first with LBP. Kudos to Microsoft's XNA, but shame on...
Come on Microsoft, do something more intuitive than copying and pasting someone else's work then changing the skin. The difference between LBP and this game is minimal(perspective). I want some good new games for my 360. Fable II was great, and Gears 2 was fun(played it at a friend's house), but I've found myself using my 360 to play original Xbox games again...Nice effort with the community function on this game though.
Or he could just use one refractive lens attatchment to narrow the beam, and route a small capacitor through the schematic.
Let's see, theres on the throne, in the bed, in the shower, in the laundry room, in the kitchen while cooking, and on duty here in the barracks.
I really think some people need to take a step back and perhaps gain some perspective. Power is almost irrelevant if the mode for control is flawed, because that will always be the limit of the iphone/ipod touch's gaming capabilities. I have a 16 gb touch, and I am not impressed with this. I had a cellphone approximately one year ago with Amp'd Mobile, that had this game on it, and while it looked just as good, it controlled alot better. Just wait until Sony actually starts pushing the PSP as...
Software pirates probably say to themselves, this wont stop me, because I wont get caught. The Judicial system says, they think we dont know whats going on in our own back yard, so let them dig their own grave, and we'll just throw the dirt on top of them when the time is right. Thing is, this is only really the beginning, and you can expect even harsher punishment for those caught stealing and/or fencing someone else's intellectual property, especially for their own monetary gain.
