Is N4G just going to be spammed with every simple shrine in TotK?
I'm saying I have same GPU and similar hardware and this dude is spouting 8K/60. I'm also saying the claim in the title and the video are misleading/wrong in some way.
Based on my experience, there is no way it's locked.
I'll get 30-60 depending on the area if I let it run wild. Less than 30 if there's a shader comp stutter.
I've been almost locking at about 40fps at 4k, I usually run at 1440p tho, that's my monitors rez.
There's been plenty of people playing on Steam Deck and the shaders have been shared so there's also no compilation stutter.
I really don't get how this is possible. I'm running at like 4k/40fps on a 4080 and like 98% GPU usage.
Really depends on the area, some I could get 4k/60 but all consistency is gone.
RaiderNation is just wrong. It's just the Nvidia produced models. It has nothing to do with day one.
They miss all the points that are important to the community or online functions.
Even with a huge overhaul I'm not sure there's even a worthwhile story or structure that could save this itteration but I'll definitely hear what they've done. And I respect them for sticking to it at least.
The biggest factor when buying a new console these days, at least between PS and MS, is where have you already invested literally hundreds of dollars in your game library. You cannot ignore that. I repeat that is the BIGGEST factor.
They may hope to sway new gamers or for people to get multiple systems but the time to grab the most market share was in 2014 and they dropped the ball.

"It's just not true that if we go off and make great games console shares shift in some dramatic way."
Everyone is misinterpreting that to mean they don't think games move units, of course it does. But He admits himself MS is in 3rd place and the other 2 are in VERY strong at what they do.
Nothing will DRASTICALLY move market share.

Don't fall for it. Phil said he's taking full responsibility but it's not completely his fault, it's an issue with management on a company scale. What happened is not a problem that can be solved by any single person.
A system of better communication and support needs to be created and/or rebuilt.
Ya'll are misreading all of this. -_- and any way xbox acted in the previous generations, especially early in Xbone, is not the Xbox of today.
The ecosystem is there goal and part of that is making consoles, bolstering their PC presence (gamepass is there too!) and making games.
They have been failing on the games front. They DO need to do better and that WILL translate to more success.
There is a big picture here, focusing on any one thing too much and you are ...
I can't see a way this is only his fault, Xbox is a much bigger machine than just Phil Spencer flying to studios to make sure a game is a-okay. He's the scapegoat, he's taking the public beating and the shame for a company wide management issue.
Selling consoles is not their measure of success, creating more high quality games would not drastically sway the market share, like he said. But don't conflate that it means they're not making games. They're aren't trying to spend 69 billion dollars to not make games. Xboxs goal is it's ecosystem. It's the ability to play 'anywhere' and still be part of Xbox.
I was just bringing this game up to a friend recently. He used to play them so much.
I hate giving money to Nintendo.
That said I don't have an issue paying for ZELDA. I love it more than my hate of the Business heads at Big N.
The only reason I don't want to buy it is it's locked on the ancient Switch.
Make and Switch 2 or whatever and I'll get it there.
I'm sure they'll re-release it and get so many people to buy it twice at $70. Or something along those lines.

I don't think the PS part you mention at the end has much to do with it. COD would still be multiplat, at least for a while. I also don't think $68 billion is an efficient way to build market share nor something you would spend just to sit on IP.
Even with the more powerful portables out there I don't think i'd go for anything that doesn't have the massive backing that the Steam Deck has.
Ubi does have other games.
