The studio should have a say but I think it's in every right for MS/Xbox to making those decisions. Xbox has (should have) it's own strategy and they'll need to be the ones making the choices for that.
Yes it is. It has an inventory list.
There's a inventory list of many items. That's all that makes an Action game an RPG.
I've been saying RPG is nearly meaningless for years.
In practice it just means there is an inventory list.
Stop talking about this publicly Jim. You're making yourself sound like a giant toddler.
And they continue to at fuel to the "console wars"
as long as you like the place you play it just doesn't matter.
PSVR2 Pwees.
@crimsonwing69. I read the article and it feels poorly written. I'm struggling to make out what they're saying about who and what intentions were and are. Maybe it's just my little smooth brain but I think it could have been better. I'd like to know more about this new CEO, he seemed charming at the opening of the FFXVI pre-launch event.
It's seriously amazing. Nothing like it exists.
I'm so excited for the 22nd.
I'm both excited for this game and expecting it to be Gatcha Garbage. You can already see that the registration page is 90% about the gatcha.
Only 2 Weeks away! Holy CRAP! I gotta finish up Zelda i guess.
I don't see a place for this system. Especially for how much it'll need to cost. Especially with the extreme restrictions of use. Especially for the small situation this product fill. Nintendo Switch users are not Playstion users. This product can only be used by people in the 40 Million PS5 owners whereas you don't need to buy a $500 system to play a Switch. They are not the same. Give Rukia my regards.
I answered the question? I was searching for clarification on one of your claims. This staticstic of MOSTLY playing on their Switch and NOT their TV also sounds made up. I don't know of anyone to do that the majority of their Switch time.
You don't deserve the name Captain Kuchiki.
Ohh. Bringing back that classic screenshot. :)
It just doesn't make much sense as a product to me. I only see the value for not too many people and as a collection piece for the bigger PS fans with money to blow. I don't see the issue that it's trying to solve. The number of people with a PS5 isn't THAT big yet and as it is now remote play is less than ideal. It's a mobile system that you can't move. Jim Ryan has not explained this product barely said more than the fact that it's real. That's not how to get...
So people are paying to be aware of a free thing that's already out?
What kinds of people and is there enough of them?
Nothing exists for nothing.
What big problem is this solving?
How is it better than remote play with the Dual Sense you already have and the phone you already have?
It's so much more complicated.
Yes. I don't really care about games that far out. I often get sick of seeing many that keep showing up in promotions for so long. There's plenty in the here and now to be excited for, for me. And there's always the big ol' backlog.
I don't think it was disappointing. Most games seemed somewhat interesting. I really have know idea why people had such big expectations. When has giant announcements ever happened in the middle of May? It's either been February, E3 time, Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show, or The Geoffs.
For the peeps who nay saying Phil, he's come off as a scapgoat to me with the things that have gone wrong for Xbox lately with things like Redfall. Could he have done more? Yes in hindsight but in the moment Xbox has many new studios and he can't keep so closely in tuned to each as one man. This is a structural and support issue, not a Phil issue. Xbox isn't used to having so much to manage and they are failing now and learning how to do better (hopefully)
P.S....
