There is no benefit in selling modded consoles for developers and publishers, and that's all that matters to me, I couldn't care less if the console manufacturer's sales aren't going sky high, I want "support", and you only get that with good game sales, period.
Besides, that growing "fanbase" you speak of will never turn back the right way after they start pirating games, unless they are...

Well, technically, you could stop being a graphics wh*** and enjoy a relatively cheap console that is powerful enough for you, like I am with my PS3, a console will never meet the expectations of graphics wh***s over time, so why bother with a $600-$800 console when it's gonna be outdated on release anyway?
BTW, excuse my obsession with the term "graphics wh***", just couldn't find anything better to say...

I'm still trying to figure out where the heck does this game and The Phantom Pain fit in the timeline...
As for saving it for the PS4.. NO! The faster it releases, the better, same goes for The Phantom Pain (assuming both of 'em aren't the same!), these games are looking fantastic already on PS3/360 specs.
I would love to play Okami 2 and a Dino Crisis reboot, but those would very likely have to be retail releases rather than digital titles...
