They are weak in reality, when compared to modern PC hardware. But fixed hardware does have its benefits.
For one, it pretty much forces developers to optimize and find workarounds to make the games run well, thus making them well acquainted with the console.
Naughty Dog, similarly to some of Nintendo's first party studios, are experts when it comes to squeezing whatever power they can find. They know their priorities.

I think I can relate somehow. I bought Ni No Kuni day 1 with preorder DLC and all because I thought it was gonna be the next big JRPG and because I f****** love Studio Ghilbi's works. And then I found out how the battle system and sub-quests work... I eventually beat the game after a couple of years, and managed to like it a little more, thanks to getting farther into the game, but that initial disappointment never really went away.
I want to play No Man's Sky later...

Guess I'll take your word for it, since I don't have a way to compare both versions, but I still think the original's controls are far from "shit".
I knew there was something fishy about the "No PS+ required" thing...
Disappointing. Then again, I wasn't gonna get this game day 1 either way, so maybe they'll fix these engine issues a little further down the way? One can only hope.

I love it when games don't take up a lot of space in my HDD, so long as they put those few gygabytes to good use.
